This has nothing to do with me. Try requesting an article. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 08:48, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your username

Hi Voice of Clam

Just thought I'd share something - every now and again I see a comment or contribution by you, and each and every time it happens I end up singing the hymn which it's presumably named after, in my head, for the rest of the day (but with the deliberate typo in as well). ☺ Which is no bad thing, because it is a hymn I like a lot. Cheers, and all the best  — Amakuru (talk) 22:27, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Amakuru: - glad you like it . I saw it as an accidental typo in the lyrics of the hymn once, and it stuck in my memory. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 08:35, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wynne Melville Jones

Hi! No evidence of notability according to you ([1]). Wynne Melville Jones is well-known in Wales: cy:Wynne_Melville_Jones, [2], [3], [4]. Yours, --Llydawr (talk) 12:26, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Llydawr: - feel free to create the article, then add the link. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 12:38, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Revocation of email access together with talk page access

Is there really evidence of email abuse (did they really abuse the email function) that you have revoked email access such as you have done with this and this. And for every blocked user that you have revoked email access, is there really evidence of email abuse (did they really abuse the email function) in order for them to lose this privelege. I will feel bad if they have lost email access without evidence of abuse. --46.211.77.16 (talk) 16:51, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, for various reasons that I am not willing to go into publicly. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 18:50, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Corris loco ID

You refer to Fuller Vol.1 page 120 for your contention that the loco in the photo is No.3. I cannot see anything on that page that brings forth that conclusion. Could you elaborate ? RGCorris (talk) 13:30, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@RGCorris: My mistake - it's page 130. The photograph is reproduced on that page and clearly identified as No. 3, with rivet-counting reasons. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 14:14, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Glandyfrdwy or Glanddyfrdwy

I think you're right; Glan is feminine singular, and therefore causes a soft mutation. Fortunately I've not created a page for the halt yet, but I'll make it Arhosfa Glanddyfrdwy. Lesbardd.

On MurderFS

Hello and good day to you.

Would you consider undeleting the page MurderFS, which (I assume) was a redirect to ReiserFS? You deleted it in 2008 as an attack page (aimed at Hans Reiser, a suspect in a murder case at the time), which was a perfectly valid and necessary decision. However, some time afterwards the fellow confessed to committing the act, so the page probably can no longer be construed as an attack against his character.

It seems that even today, the MurderFS moniker is occasionally used in informal contexts to refer to ReiserFS. In fact, that's how I found out about the redirect page having been deleted. I saw people using "murderFS" in a chatroom discussion and tried to find out what it was with a Wikipedia search. While it's not a highly popular term, and though ReiserFS itself has become largely irrelevant, I think there could be some minor value in having the MurderFS page restored. --Veikk0.ma 02:33, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Veikk0.ma: You're correct, it was a redirect. I'm reluctant to restore it without discussion, as the term isn't used in the target article, and I cannot find a reliable reference to the term with a quick Google search. I suggest taking it to WP:DELREV for wider community discussion. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 07:36, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) Um yeah Veikk0.ma I've never heard that term before and when I saw the section title my first thought was a fictional or "in-game" "file system" that either intentionally or through a flaw caused robots or industrial machinery to kill people. Note to self: Make that game or write that book. Unless the term is widely used in reference to the actual filesystem that has a totally different name, I'd send it to RFD on WP:UNDUE grounds if it came back. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:51, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I just realized your nickname isn't what I thought it was

All these years my brain has turned it into "Voice of Calm". Consider registering that account as "blocked doppleganger" to avoid someone actually using it. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:46, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not strictly necessary, as it's close enough to another account name (not mine), but created anyway. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 12:14, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Are you by any chance at allcan enable talk page or email access for this editor as it has been 9 years of these being revoked. Just interested to know. --93.78.29.3 (talk) 15:54, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Are you connected with this user? If not, why are you asking? — O Still Small Voice of Clam 16:26, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have no connection with them. Why did they lose email access? Just interested to know. --93.78.29.3 (talk) 16:40, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
