You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 20:21, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:ACC[edit]

Hi

Just a quick note to say you're in danger of killing the toolserver a bit with the number of requests you've been making to the ACC tool. I'm aware that the guide does not mention this, but a while (1y?) ago we decided that using scripts to automatically reserve requests (and even to autorefresh a page quickly) is a bit of an abuse of the tool, and makes it unfair for other users.

ACC is not a race, and there is no need to hog every request. The main reason I suspended you and added your IP to a forbidden list on the tool is to try and break the auto-refresh script / whatever you seem to have running to give the toolserver a break (I have checked the web server logs, before you ask). The toolserver is donated, and any abuse of it in any way is an abuse of donations, and continually refreshing a page every two seconds is a) not needed, b) way too heavy usage, and c) leads to more automated stuff, including starting to script more and more automated handling of requests, which isn't a good thing.

When you've stopped the script, let me know, and I'll remove the IP block, and unsuspend your account on ACC.

Thanks

heads up - do not "move" (or redirect) articles by copy/pasting, unless they have no history of editing - such "moves" break the article history which has to be preserved. Ask advice if not sure how to move. See WP:MOVE for details. Cheers. Materialscientist (talk) 06:41, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
