Possible conflict of interest[edit]

Hello, Umbradog. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Rage (T'Pau album), you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

Response[edit]

Many thanks on the timely reminder and advice! In my contributions to the article Rage (T'Pau album) I have tried to remain objective and only include "factual" information. In fact, I also deleted some previous wording that applied an opinion about the sound some of the tracks on the album with no reference to a review or similar. Most of what I have added is "insider" information that I thought fans would be interested in but that remains (I think) neutral and factual. I am not aware of any verifiable sources for it, other than me or those present at the time.

I fully understand the need for neutrality and independent, verifiable sources for Wikipedia content so if you think my contributions to the above article fall short of that standard, I obviously have no problem with their removal. Perhaps I should also pose the question within the "Talk" section for the article - and also ask for sources to be added where possible...? With all respect, Umbradog. 13:22, 29 January 201 (UTC)
