The article Draft:Invasion by Chola dynasty was accepted in error as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation because it duplicates the topic of Chola conquest of Anuradhapura, it has now been made a re-direct to Chola conquest of Anuradhapura. Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ultra8K. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

I didn't do this on purpose I basically lost count of the accounts I created so here's the problem there's a problem with the wiki login page if you have saved your password in the phone for wiki and if you try login again through the Face ID and when you press login the wiki will deny access after multiple times the wiki would ask me to write capitica code and to check if I'm human and when I keep on trying the Face ID the wiki will deny access until it asks me to try again later
So I know this is not too smart what have I done but I kept on creating new accounts everytime wiki askes for login so basically whatever article or the edit I have done will be in multiple accounts and I basically lost count of it but few days ago only I realized that you have to physically type the password rather than using the Face ID
I wasn't trying to sock puppet or anything I was trying to write articles in wiki and the reason why i didn’t accept it that was me in the other accounts were because I was embarrassed that I created multiple accounts just to get pass through the wiki login Ultra8K (talk) 13:25, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to be indicating you lack sufficient competence to use websites. If so, WP:CIR applies. If that is not what you are alleging, please make a new unblock request. Yamla (talk) 13:38, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

This is my second time appealing and I would like to explain it properly here seem to be a problem with the wiki login page cause when you have your passwords saved to the web and when you use the Face ID in wiki it deny access telling it was a invalid password when it is the correct password and I was super annoyed by it so what I did was I created a account everytime wiki asked for login and later i realized that the Face ID dosent work for wiki and I forgot to delete my other accounts in wiki so basically i basically lost count of how many wiki accounts I have created and the previous admin said that I seem to be indicating I lack sufficient competence to use websites but now only I realized that wiki has a problem with this and later I realized that the only way to login to wiki is by physically typing the password so I would like to request from you to unblock me and I would promise to delete all my new accounts and I'm sorry for all the trouble I have caused Ultra8K (talk) 05:45, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There is no means of deleting an account, you will just need to abandon and forget about the other accounts you created. I must concur with Yamla above in that you seem to lack the skills needed to participate here, at least at the level needed(you wrote your request without any punctuation, in one long sentence). 331dot (talk) 09:46, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have proven my worth by creating a article and rewriting articles that already been created and before I got banned I was in a debate with a person regarding genetic studies and I have almost won and I can help wiki to improve a a lot especially in history side and I hope that I can get unbanned soon, if you guys doubt that I'm bad at punctuation and etc , you can check my article which I wrote.

Decline reason:

Your "lost access" excuse does not hold up cause you used at least two accounts to team up on another user. Won? Wikipedia is not a WP:BATTLEFIELD. Sock puppetry destroys the Community's trust, so I cannot see unblocking you soon. Ima recommend the following. After at least six months, you can request unblocking. You should not evade your block by editing the English language Wikipedia from a different account or while not logged in during this time. It would work in your favor for you to constructively edit a different Wikipedia or Wikimedia project during this time, for at least six months and at least 500 edits. You will then need to concisely and clearly tell how your editing merited a block, what you would do different, and what constructive edits you would make. A list of Wikimedia projects can be found at meta:List of Wikipedias. However, a check user will need to agree to your being unblocked. Request reason:

I think there is a misconception here cause the last wiki mod claimed I used two accounts to gang up on a single user and I find it very wrong.

I didn’t use my second account to talk to anyone neither used it to prove other users wrong or showing there’s more people in my Side I’m sure the mod whose reading this can check if I have talked to anyone, I used my second account to edit only and I have used it like a couple of days and abandoned that account.
So I’m sure the mod whose reading this will wonder why did I create a secondary account actually I did because there’s a problem in wiki with Face ID, how many times I attempted, wiki would say my password is incorrect and what I did was I created a new wiki account everytime the wiki asked for login and few days later only I realized that wiki has a problem with Face ID and you are supposed to type the password physically rather than using Face ID, the day I discovered this I abandoned all the new accounts, I used this as my main account, when I was checking the pages I edited including the new accounts I created when I didn’t know the wiki had a problem with Face ID, I found a specific user who reverted my edits so I messaged him using this account asking why he reverted my edits but he said he did not revert mine he reverted someone named Asterix which is my abandon account so I was at this point embarrassed where I said him that I will fix the problem but he might have smelled something fishy and I got reported as a sock puppet and sir/ miss whose reading this if you don’t believe what I say, you can check his talk page who reported and got me blocked for sock puppet
I hope I get my justice and I hope wiki fixes the Face ID problem also Ultra8K (talk) 14:32, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Look, I'm sorry, but at some point we have say "thank you for your offer to edit English Wikipedia, but no thanks". Your unblock requests are difficult to understand, and you seem to have trouble understanding how to log in to our website. You should try the version of Wikipedia in your native language. If it's Sinhala, that would be Sinhala Wikipedia. Additionally, once you've demonstrated competence editing that version of Wikipedia (and your English language proficiency improves), you could request an unblock on English Wikipedia via WP:UTRS.
