Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Reel (dance), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 05:03, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To add to the automated message – I declined the submission because I can't see a difference between the instrument described in the draft, and that at clapstick. If you think there is a difference, I'd appreciated if you could point me to a source identifying the difference. If they are the same, you can just merge the content from your draft into the article clapstick, as it would be a useful expansion. (You can reply to me on this page, or at my talk page.) Clapperstick v. Clapstick[edit]

@Bilorv: Hi Bilorv. They are different instruments. They are constructed differently, both in terms of shape and material, and are performed using different techniques. In-fact, the Australian clapstick is far more like Cuban claves than they are to Native Californian clapper sticks. They simply have similar names in English. I wanted to include a picture that was not copyrighted, but could not find one. In anycase, here are a websites with pictures, schematics, and video, which should hopefully settle the fact that it is fundamentally different from the Australian instrument you linked to: http://www.primitiveways.com/musical_instruments.html https://arroyosage.blogspot.com/2014/02/making-clapper-stick-native-california.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26jdj4EBNqw Tulesounds (talk) 05:06, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, and sorry for the mistake! I've accepted the article now, so it can be found at clapper stick. (See the automated notice below.) Bilorv(c)(talk) 11:43, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Creating your user page.[edit]

Dear Tulesounds;
Again, thank you for your editorial contributions to various articles on music; they are much appreciated.
I would also suggest that you visit your User page (top left, next door to this Talk page), which is still appearing in red. As you will see when you get there, it currently says "Creating User:Tulesounds" because you haven't actually created it yet; but all you need to do is simply enter some text (anything) and click the Save page button; your user page will then be created and appear in blue from then on. Once you've done that, you'll be able to personalize it to your heart's content later on, and you could look at any other editor's user page to see the many different ways of doing that.
Of course, you don't have to do any of this but, in any case, I wish you well with all your Wikipedia projects!
With kind regards;
