Flag and ribbon

I noticed your request at Alison's talk page. I moved the ribbon to position right=90px. It seems to look ok now. -- Flyguy649 talk contribs 03:21, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

No. Protection is implemented to prevent vandalism, and if I were to unprotect it right now, I would be potentially allowing more vandals to vandalize it. You are still, of course, welcome to make constructive edits after the protection expires. :-) « ANIMUM » 15:13, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

The burden is on you, Hornetman, to prove that it is free to use, not on us to prove it's not. --Deskana (banana) 00:33, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
The problem is that this isn't the first time he's done this. And Aaron, you complain that I keep telling you that your images are not free use. I believe Deskana blocked him for adding a false free use tag on a copyrighted image just so that he could keep the image on his page. -- bulletproof 3:16 00:35, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Not on my page is it?--Hornetman16 (talk) 00:38, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
That's not the point. The point is that you deliberately put false tags on images to keep them from getting deleted. -- bulletproof 3:16 00:42, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
You still need to provide a fair use rationale. No, it's not on your page but it has been uploaded to WP. I suggest you maybe deal with the licensing issue here, rather than arguing with three other people (who simply must be wrong!) - Alison
proof, not enough? I have no more.-Hornetman16 (talk) 00:41, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
How does that prove it's not a copyrighted image? --Deskana (banana) 00:42, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Delete it I can't find proof...I would just like to say that it doesn't matter the picture. Lately Bulletproof has been tagging and deleteing every picture in sight. These title pages can't keep a photo. Pages that have used the same photo for months are now without a photo.--Hornetman16 (talk) 00:45, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Excellent. Nice to know we're cleaning up and clearing backlogs. --Deskana (banana) 00:47, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

I've had to delete 4 images where you have uploaded an image from a website and claimed they were licensed under the GFDL licence, despite this being untrue. Please do not use the GFDL licence or any other free licence to hide the true copyright status of an image, this is image theft and illegal under US Copyright Law, in addition to being completely prohibited on Wikipedia. Users found uploading stolen images are likely to be blocked and/or banned, such is the risk they present to the project. If you need help uploading images in future, please use the helpme template on your page and someone will be able to assist. Nick 00:48, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Deleted. Sorry, but it was improperly licensed (in a big way. Lifted from some random geocities site) - Alison 00:50, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Hornetman, it is very important that you don't report something as having a free licence unless the copyright holder explicitly released it under a licence that allows others to use it in any way they like, including commercially, and including the creation of derivative works. ElinorD (talk) 00:48, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Tell me then, how do you knoww the license if it's not said Hmm?--Hornetman16 (talk) 00:54, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
If it doesn't say it's free, then assume it isn't. Alternatively, send an email to the website, to enquire. In the event that you receive confirmation that it is free, you would have to provide proof of that, not just say that they had said it was free. The best way of providing proof would be to get the webmaster to update the website saying that the images are released into the public domain or under GFDL (or something similar). Alternatively, the copyright holder could email the Foundation. The admin dealing with the email would then tag the image, and would give a reference to the ticket number for the email, so that other admins with OTRS access could check it. ElinorD (talk) 00:59, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
I would like to request help from ALL Admins to find and upload new FREE-USE images for the Titles without photos.--Hornetman16 (talk) 01:01, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Why don't you go along to somewhere these things are displayed and take some? Its not our responsibility to ensure there are images. ViridaeTalk 01:05, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

A question

Hornetman16, is it necessary to blast the fact that you are a Christian on your page? Look at the code for your nutshell.

.

Why can't the I'M A CHRISTIAN!! be the same size as the rest of the text? No one doubts that you are a Christian; I am a Christian, I earned my Parvuli Dei in Boy Scouts, I have a Catholic education, I was an Alter Server; but no one would know that unless I told them, as is in this case, or if they looked at my edits. Doesn't Matthew 6:5-6, the Word of our God, tell us "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."? Doesn't that tell us that we should keep our religion to ourselves? Doesn't that tell us not to scream out our faith? I am not asking you to remove the I'M A CHRISTIAN!! or even downsize it. I am simply asking you why you feel the need to do it? I am not attacking you, just asking a peer a question. You, of course, may refrain from answering, but a response of some kind would be welcomed. --wpktsfs 17:58, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

I did it cause it's the biggest part of my life and the most important.--Hornetman16 (talk) 18:02, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
I respect that. --wpktsfs 18:05, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
How would you feel if a user put I'M A PAGAN!! on their userpage? ~ Wikihermit 19:32, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Thier choice.--Hornetman16 (talk) 19:36, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
I'd have a problem with either, as it happens. This point came up before here. Hornetman, I'd seen you re-adding your blatant stuff on your userpage but I'd let this one slide. I'll say this, though; please don't gradually re-add stuff there in the hope nobody will notice because you'll just find yourself in the same trouble again - Alison 19:44, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
From what I've read this the only thing that says straight off hand that I'm a Christian (besides my userboxes).--Hornetman16 (talk) 19:46, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Your infobox mentions it as well. --wpktsfs 22:35, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
I just don't want another flag incident, resulting in a block because you can't follow community rules. Sometimes, less is more. --wpktsfs 22:29, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Exactly, hornetman, no offense, but your user page (and now, talk page) remind me very much of browsing crappy geocities sites back in 97. You really should simplify your user page and talk page. Look at my userpage - It tells you about my contributions to Wikipedia, a little bit about who I am and how to get in touch with me. Now, I'd love to shout from the rooftops "I USE LINUX! FREE SOFTWARE IS THE ONLY WAY! ALSO, YOUR GOD IS SILLY!", but I don't, because Wikipedia is not a soap box. Your user page is supposed to help other editors to talk to you and learn a bit about what you do on wikipedia, right now if I didn't know you and I stumbled across your user page I'd assume you're very new to Wikipedia and had pretty much no idea what you were doing. Remember that more isn't always better. It might be best for you to have a simple user page, and then have an "About me" page where you put your personal details, and user boxes and such, as long as you don't get too WP:MYSPACEy about it --L-- 19:51, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
To be clear, by not myspacing, I mean being short and sweet about it, although I suppose a subpage would actually be worse. Either way, nobody will hold it against you if you set up a personal website on MySpace or any number of other websites and just link to it. I'm sure there's even user boxes for it. --L-- 19:52, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

"Vandalism" in WWE Unforgiven

How did I vandalize? What did I do wrong? You even said yourself "We use Posters not DVD covers".-- Kip Smithers 19:53, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

The Fair use Rationales weren't on the images I uploaded either. But anyway just look at the images I uploaded and use the Rationale I'm putting up on the images I upload.-- Kip Smithers 21:29, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Posters

All posters don't have to come from that one cite. Some of the posters are better then the ones that come from that cite (ie. Image:Royal Rumble 07.jpg). That other version was straight from wweaffilates.com and the one you uploaded looked like the wallpaper. Another example Image:Unforgiven06.jpg, I uploaded a different version because I thought it looked more appealing and the one you uploaded looks just like the DVD cover. Point is all posters found at http://www.hoffco-inc.com/wwe/ are great but don't need to replace all other posters.-- Kip Smithers 10:48, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

sorry, I am very happy with my signature as is. I would be tempted to say something a little rough, but since you are a Christian and a wrestling fan, I respect you enough not to. Honestly, I appreciate the pride and self-described charisma you have here on Wikipedia, but I say take it easy. Be a little more relaxed about the site and don't be like the other wikipedians who are so absorbed in creating "the perfect article" that they can't build up the balls to fight vandalism or decide what they want to do for themselves. Wikipedia is full of spineless people, and I want you to know that you shouldn't go towards that path; be happy with what you have to say, and don't fret a disgusting-looking signature from someone else of all things.

I even have a quote for you:

No worries.-- bulletproof 3:16 20:18, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

My apostrophes. Let me show you them.

About your undoing my change here. "It's" is a contraction. It means "it is." The apostrophe-s after "it" does not describe an "ownership" relationship. It's a contraction. I'm thinking that you might benefit from this page... Thanks, man. Have a good day. Please feel free to hit me or pretty much anyone else up if you have any questions about this. -- Ben 22:41, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay. We have made a big step. From this edit summary, you recognize that "it's" is a contraction of "it is." So... let us take that part of the sentence as you like it ("...it must exert more force upward than it's own weight.") and expand the contraction and see if it sounds right to your ear (I like to say it out loud): "...it must exert more force upward than it is own weight." I don't think that makes sense. And it looks like so far two people (a and b) agree with me. -- Ben 04:31, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

In response to this... Thanks for asking! The answer (as described here is no. Let me tell you a quick story if you don't mind...

I threw Aaron's ball. (Aaron owns the ball. In this case, the apostrophe-s does denote posession.)
It's over there. (The ball (the antecedent) is over there.)
Why didn't it bounce when I threw it? (Worthless sentence... sets up the big finish!)
Because it lost all of its air. (The air belongs to the ball.)

I don't think I'm doing a very good job of explaining this. "Its" is really strange. Like it says on the its page, "it's" is a contraction of "it is", and "its" is the possessive for "it." I'm not trying to harp... just trying to drive home the meaning. -- Ben 05:53, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

I could kick myself... I don't know whether this would be helpful or not, but this is the way I learned it. I memorized this table. -- Ben 05:58, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Its is like mine, yours, his, hers, ours and theirs. None of them have an apostrophe-s. So no apostrophe-s for pronouns, basically. And now we can all laugh that you're being taught English by a Dutchman ;-).--Atlan (talk) 13:46, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Laugh it up!! Remember I haven't finished school yet.--Hornetman16 (talk) 19:10, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't think that that comment was necessary or in good taste. But you see the difference now between "its" and "it's?" -- Ben 19:38, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Hornetman, I'm your age, and I have no problems comprehending this. I haven't in years. I'd be amazed if your English teacher lets you get away with this. Please don't blame this on your age or education --Lucid 19:44, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
What do you want me to blame then? what I blamed was the truth...oh and you obviously never gone to school in Florida...read up it and you'll get me.--Hornetman16 (talk) 19:49, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Back up guys. Problem solved. I don't like this bickering I'm seeing. None of you need to edit this section anymore. Hornetman, I suggest you archive it. It's a done topic. --Deskana (banana) 19:54, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Yourself? It's nobody's fault but your own that you can't understand it. I've had teachers that I could do better than, that's not an excuse to stop learning personally. The article is a "start" according to WP:PW standards. In order for it to be promoted to B status, it would have to be thoroughly sourced, which it is not. Thanks. Former PPV Template

A secondary template for basically the same subject is redundant. One well-organized template that includes all subjects that fall within one category, in this case - WWE PPVs, works best. Just look at the WWE video games template. There is no need to separate the template into one for Nintendo games, another for Playstation games, and another for X box games. It’s really unnecessary-- bulletproof 3:16 03:42, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Aaron I want you to understand something, I do not and will never have anything against you. You just don't seem to understand how and why things are done here. Think about it Hornetman, the consensus regarding the page move is in your favor, what harm does removing the template do? If a someone has a problem with it, hell, do what's best to avoid that problem. Hornetman, you say you are responsible for your age yet you fail to show that. There are several reasons. Firstly, I am not a great programmer so cant make it look very pretty. Secondly, most people coming to my user page just want to leave me a message, so it re directs to my talk page. I don't really want to give away many personal details as well. Lastly, the only thing I would have on my user page is user boxes which can be found here.  Tiddly Tom  11:16, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Diamond Dallas Page

The page will be moved momentarily. Be patient.-- bulletproof 3:16 03:46, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

That's fine.--Hornetman16 (talk) 08:38, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Its done. BTW, see the talk page for correct format used to close polls. -- bulletproof 3:16 08:42, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
I know what the saved page looks like bust I don't know the Template.--Hornetman16 (talk) 08:43, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Place polltop at the top of the discussion and add whatever the result was in bold next to the template, then sign. Finally, use pollbottom and add it bellow the last comment made in the discussion. Cheers.-- bulletproof 3:16 08:46, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. Could you add that to my table of template on my user page towards the bottom.--Hornetman16 (talk) 08:52, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
The whole thing?-- bulletproof 3:16 09:09, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Just the Template...look at the bottomof my user page and you'll get ehat I'm asking for.--Hornetman16 (talk) 09:10, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

You are probably right with his hair color being removed if Aang turns out to be bald at the start of the third season. However, you don't need to state those intentions in the article like that. Just revert when the time comes and it's fine. This just rubs people the wrong way and no one benefits from that.--Atlan (talk) 23:26, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Great. See you around.--Atlan (talk) 23:34, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Regarding adoption

Reviewing your contribs, I can make a few suggestions:

One, I think you should use more edit summaries. Users have watchlists, so when you use an edit summary they can see at a glance what changes were made.

Also, if you'll notice just above the "save button", there is a minor edit box. If you're making a small edit, you should click that. At RFA's, thhose two things are always factors. it shows experience.

Those are some tips there, happy editing! Cheers, JetLover (talk) 23:42, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Here's a test edit I made [4]
Cool beans! - congratulations, HornetMan. JetLover is a super editor - Alison 23:55, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Fighting vandalism

If you are interested in that, here's what to do:

Click recent changes.

Look for anything suspicous, like a lot of content deleted. (You'll see how much was added or deleted in the middle)

Click Diff, which is on the right side.

You'll be able to see the changes exactly.

If the edit is vandalism, click Undo.

Then click save.

Then once you have saved the page, click history to see who vandalized the page.

Click on his talk page and give him a warning. Here is a reccomended template: uw-vand1, along with 2 3 4 and 4im, for only warnings. Don't forget to subst as well, like instead of Example, try . Thanks! Cheers, JetLover (talk) 03:13, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Vanilla2

I asked an admin about it, and he it wouldn't be a good idea. It's never a good idea to share a password, and signatures don't really matter. I'll try and guide him. Cheers, JetLover (talk) 21:38, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Unfortianatley, then ANYONE could log in as Vanilla2. just think, first it's poor Vanilla2 who can't have a cool sig, but then it's poor Vinalla2 who is at the mercy of a hacker. And if he/she doesn't know how to change her/his signature, he/she doesn't know how to change the password either. That's the thing. Cheers, JetLover (talk) 21:51, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Not sure what this is about, guys, but shared accounts are verboten. Evidence of sharing one's password/account means an indef softblock, far as I'm concerned. See m:Role account - Alison 22:43, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
We're not sharing the account but wanting to help out Vanilla2 by just signing in as Vanilla2 long enough to fix the signature and then sign out and that will be the end of it.--Hornetman16 (talk) 22:47, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Ugh! That's seriously not the way to do it. Can you not talk hir through it? - Alison 00:15, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
We've tried it's backfired everytime.--Hornetman16 (talk) 02:05, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Hornetman16, I do not have time to do it now. I'm too busy (in case you haven't read the template at the top of my talk page). I'll do it when I have time. In the mean time, why don't you try doing it yourself? Check out John Cena's talk page. There was a similar vote there a few days ago over the image on the infobox. Use that as a guide and try doing it on WP:PW. Learn from experience Hornetman16. I apologize for the inconvenience.-- bulletproof 3:16 18:54, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Usurpation

Since the Cenafan account is blocked, perhaps you could sign in to it and leave a note on the talk page permitting the usurpation. I'm not a clerk for the usurpation process, so I don't know if that would be sufficient, but it should work. -- Flyguy649 talk contribs 03:21, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Of course, user:I just suggested that at the usurpation page. Flyguy649 talk contribs 03:23, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

The Dr. Pepper and other image stuff

I'm not the one to talk to. I do the fair use reduce tasks occasionally, but I only resize them to comply with fair use- I have no clue as to their copyright or sourcing... David Fuchs (talk) 19:42, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Which really doesn't bother me. But even if I did care, like I said I'm not the one to talk to... I guess I'll stop resizing them if I'm going to be buggered with everyone else's images... :( David Fuchs (talk) 19:46, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Ah... I swear I wasn't the first to upload that... (or maybe I was uploading a png of an svg to comply with fair use...) Sorry, got confused there. Whatever, delete it or whatnot. David Fuchs (talk) 19:52, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

I've left three warnings on this users talk page and everytime he's reverted it citing "nonsense". Could you talk to his guy before I become uncivil, which I don't want to do.--Hornetman16 (talk) 19:43, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

You kinda left very stern boilerplate final-warns. That can be kinda rude under certain circumstances. See the essay, Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars. In this case, leaving a polite note on their talk page, stating your issues, would be much more appropriate here. There's nothing wrong with blanking your own talk page comments per se, but it can be rude, too. I'd say they're a bit miffed right now! - Alison 20:50, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Editors are allowed to remove comments from their own talk pages with or without formal archiving. It may be rude to remove comments without replying, but you can neither force a reply or force a warning to remain posted. You have been edit warring at User talk:Addhoc. If you make another edit I will block you for disruptive edit warring, even if you have not technically violated 3RR. Thatcher131 01:35, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Some advice Hornetman16, Drop It.-- bulletproof 3:16 01:45, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Why am I the only one getting warned with this he's partof it too! I'm gonna stop anyway.--Hornetman16 (talk) 02:26, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
You didn't take the additional advice I spelled out on my talk page. Not to worry .... However, next time don't template the regulars, write politely and AGF regarding their edits. If you go in with guns blazing (as you did), you'll get pushed aside - Alison 05:35, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I've heard all this be bold stuff but your right I did come on a little strong.--Hornetman16 (talk) 07:01, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Yep. Please see my talk page dialog. You need to step back and chill just a bit, before you get blocked - Alison 08:03, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Tools

Hey Hornetman. Can I make a suggestion? You know the 'tools' part of your userpage? That's getting kinda big. What about adding it to a subpage like User:Hornetman16/Tools and either transcluding it via a collapsible template or via link. Check out my "Interwiki Matrix" on my userpage for an example. It'd clean up your userpage in a big way and, as it's on a separate page, would be easily available to you. Mine's at User:Alison/work. It'll help to keep people off your case re. your userpage. I'll do the hard work part of it if you like ... :) - Alison 05:42, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Fine with me as long as they're still here somewhere on my userpage or user sub-page.--Hornetman16 (talk) 06:59, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Ok - it's done :) There's a User:Hornetman16/Tools page now, and there's a collapsible frame around the tools section. Your visitors don't really need to see all that stuff, but if they want to, they can click 'show' - Alison 09:00, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
And please, don't battle with editors when they try to tone down your userpage stuff. You're still on thin ice on that issue. You've already reverted Deskana and others. I ever-so-strongly don't recommend you go there. Bigger and LOUDER and MORE COLOURFUL does not mean better. - Alison 09:05, 23 August 2007 (UTC) (hint, hint. I'm trying to avert a crisis here)
I think the title size thing could be bigger since every other page on Wikipedia has their Title the same size mine was before you resized it.--Hornetman16 (talk) 09:08, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
It may be your browser settings, but your title size was spilling way into the text below. It was seriously nasty, which was why Deskana tried to tone it down before (and you reverted! Tsk) Less is more, dude - Alison 09:13, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Changing to Cenafan16

Hornetman, can you please confirm here that you're happy with my suggestion? If so, I or someone else can block this account and unblock Cenafan, to enable you to change right away. Cheers. ElinorD (talk) 01:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Elinor, if you're not about, I can look after it. Hornetman tends to be an early bird - Alison 02:24, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. :-) ElinorD (talk) 02:26, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Early Bird, huh? Thanks...I think.--Hornetman16 (talk) 02:42, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Userpage

I've redirected your userpage to here, and protected it. You've been told enough times about inappropriate content, but yet you just readded it, even saying that several people told you it's okay (when several people removed it). Maybe after a while we can reassess a userpage for you... but for now it's just causing more problems than anything else. --Deskana (banana) 03:03, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks the hell alot it was conformed with policy...a little minor fixes needed but it complied. WARN ME NEXT TIME!!!--Hornetman16 (talk) 03:07, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Calm down Hornetman16. You were warned multiple times and still refused to remove that text. -- bulletproof 3:16 03:10, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
[5] - "we warned you about this before. you're really pushing it too far". So, by removing the content and leaving you that edit summary, I wasn't telling you it's inappropriate? You knew by undoing me you were acknowledging you'd read my summary that it was not acceptable. Stop trying to take us for fools, please. You're starting to exhaust the community's patience, and it's not a good thing. --Deskana (banana) 03:11, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
(ec x 2) Chill out, Hornetman. I warned you very strongly indeed only a few hours back, but you refused to listen. Instead, you tried to revert-war over the size of your obnoxious red text and your Christian witnessy-stuff. I even put your tools into a subpage and hid them under a collapsible navbar to save you from this. But ... you weren't listening. Again - Alison 03:19, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

So all this dang talk on usrup page about assuming good faith is bullcrap is that what your telling me?--Hornetman16 (talk) 03:14, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

So, we should assume good faith to the point of being totally ridiculous? Not only has your userpage been deleted before, but we tried toning it down and you reverted us. AGF clearly doesn't apply. Stop this wikilawyering, Hornetman, and please just accept what I've said before you really do wear people's patience thin. --Deskana (banana) 03:19, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Please AGF one last time if I break it this time I'll ban myself.--Hornetman16 (talk) 03:21, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
No way. You asked me to AGF one last time when I last blocked you. Your suggestion that I AGF is unreasonable. --Deskana (banana) 03:25, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Hornetman, wasn't the last time we were supposed to assume good faith when your 'brother' edited while you were blocked? Or one of the many times you were edit warring? At this point, it's not AGF anymore, it's GIVEMEONEMORECHANCE, which as many parents can tell you, doesn't work --lucid 03:32, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for making me look foolish in front of Daniel,[6] when I was arguing about your improvement in behaviour, and giving you a chance. ElinorD (talk) 03:16, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but all they were doing was looking at the negativity and not the possible good future. I've just had my userpage unrightfuly blanked redirect to my talk page and protected. The reason I put what I did is I was withdrawing my request. Now if you'll please excuse me I've got a userpage to fight for.--Hornetman16 (talk) 03:19, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
A friendly suggestion, spoken loudly; STOP THE FIGHTING. Do it now! That clear enough? You keep going with this attitude and you know what's going to happen. Step back, take a breath and think about where this is going - Alison 03:21, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Talk Deskana out of what s/he did I'll cool down in the process.--Hornetman16 (talk) 03:23, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Okay, if you're withdrawing your request, that's fine, though it would be preferable to do so in a way that's less likely to show yourself as being disruptive. As for your user page, I suggest that you do without it for a few days, try to treat others with respect, don't edit war, don't slip in material from your user page onto your talk page, and then, after a few days, ask nicely. A possible compromise would be that Alison or Deskana could make your user page acceptable (I won't offer, as the source coding is beyond me), and then leave it protected, so that you can't keep slipping in more Christianity advertising. But that's really up to them, if they'd agree. And I think you're better off to accept it for a few days, and then ask nicely. Cheers. ElinorD (talk) 03:28, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Your suggestion is a good one, Elinor, but I'm afraid we've already done it once before, and this is where we ended up. There's absolutely no reason to believe it won't happen again, especially considering the way Hornetman has handled this whole situation. --Deskana (banana) 03:30, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
I think it will do no harm for Hornetman to spend a few days with just a redirect, as giving in too easily just leads to more trouble. But when a few days have passed, if you gave him a user page and kept it FULLY protected (also protecting all transcluded subpages), then it couldn't happen again, could it? ElinorD (talk) 03:35, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Hornet, please be civil. That was not acceptable. Cheers, JetLover (talk) 03:32, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
What Deskana did was completely justified. Hornetman, your attitude won't solve anything. It will only aggravate things. Listen to the voice of reason for once and chill man. -- bulletproof 3:16 03:33, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
