Romanization of 斗織

Hello, I was wondering if you could explain your recent edit to the Characters of X (manga) page, in which you marked my edit to the romanization of 斗織 as vandalism and reverted it. According to the Wikipedia policy on romanizing Japanese names, use of apostrophes should be avoided except in the case of the syllabic "n" followed by a vowel; in addition, the section is titled "Tooru Magami", without the apostrophe. I have reverted your edit for now; however, since I'm unfamiliar with the name, my apologies in advance for the misunderstanding if it is supposed to be romanized in that way. Thanks! rairakku (talk) 21:07, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Oh, that's all right. I'm glad it's been cleared up. rairakku (talk) 23:52, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Tory party

I think you will find that my description is fairly accurate, I'll bet I could find a source somewhere. --Cnatcomm (talk) 22:16, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Info

I just blocked the polite gentleman who visited User:RonCram's talk page. When you see stuff like that, let an admin know so we can give the perpetrator a vacation. Thanks for reverting it. Raymond Arritt (talk) 17:09, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

John Agnello edit

Hi - I am definitely not trying to vanadalize John Gotti Agnello's page. My husband, John Agnello (not a Gotti), is a producer/mixing engineer. I am trying to create a page for him but it seems that John Agnello is set up only to redirect to John Gotti Agnello. Can you help me with this? There are several links to my husband throughout Wikipedia (for records he has worked on) and these links are referring people to Gotti. Any help you can give me to correct this would be great. thanks! sharon Sharonagnello (talk) 19:14, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

St Columba's College, St Albans

The change you undid, even though of a low quality, was what was requested. A separate page for the school's CCF had been created. It was requested (without any dissent) that it be remerged. The user who created the separate page remerged it. It seems to me more constructive, and less likely to invite an edit-war, to take what's been written and improve it rather than wipe it. Stephen Colbert

About my edit to the Stephen Colbert (character) article, you claimed it to be vandalism. Quite on the contrary, my addition was 100% true and was a direct quote from Colbert himself from the show down between O'Reilly and Colbert. Although I am new to this site, I have read the rule of vandalism, which Wikipedia defines as a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of the article. As stated before, my addition was in no way false or negative and is in no way an act of vandalism. I would like to know how you constituted it as such to help me avoid this in the future. Semiprotection?

It seems you've developed quite the fan club due to your anti-vandalism activities. Would you like for me to semi-protect your user and talk pages? Raymond Arritt (talk) 18:43, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

If you can that would be brilliant Tresiden (talk) 20:27, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
OK, semiprotected both for 14 days. I'm going on extended wikibreak so if you want it lifted earlier (or extended), you can ask another admin. Raymond Arritt (talk) 22:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my user page. I may just have to adopt your method of letting the vandals loose on my page...I just never seem to get any of the creatively funny type vandals. Cheers. Icseaturtles 04:35, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey, thanks from me too, for the same reason. Unfortunately, your actions are very necessary, since my granny can't handle bad things on a computer screen (or anything on a computer screen, really). Drmies (talk) 15:39, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
