The article Burnley Rugby Club has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Local rugby club with no indication of notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 19:47, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

I have nominated Burnley Rugby Club, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Burnley Rugby Club. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Angels (nightclub) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z13-vqFrEcA&, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvND3w5KghM, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI3s2szXpoA, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3bkk8SpxIc, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IJ7wEip7T4. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:57, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:41, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Burnley

Thanks for your comments. I'm generally liking your additions but I think the whole page needs to be tighter (shorter) on words (not just your edits). As for the big image, well it's great but it doesn't belong at the top - the format should follow the general style for places. I admit to breaking some of the rules for this. Keep up the good work - I think it may need to be broken up into new sections if it gets too long.(Cj1340 (talk) 22:04, 16 June 2010 (UTC))

Wikipedia's Manual of Style does actually discourage placing wikilinks directly into the section headers themselves (and, for what it's worth, I didn't manually remove the links; AutoWikiBrowser is programmed to automatically strip such links when applying style fixes.) If an article needs to link to separate articles about some individual members of the family, then the preferred format is to do either this:

or this:

rather than wikilinking the headline itself. But I see that you've already done the latter :-) Bearcat (talk) 21:48, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Burnley Grammar School

It appears I did add the Alumni. I've probably got some more if you want some. DinosaursLoveExistence (talk) 12:26, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes, but not right now. I’m planning to create a separate page for the Grammar School (probably including Burnley High School for Girls) as I feel its relationship with Hameldon Community College is far more distant that the page currently implies. Obviously I would move the alumni list to the new page, however to do that I need to be able to reference either the list or the people on it. I don’t fancy researching each one individually, so I’m hoping you will know where you got it from? --Trappedinburnley (talk) 12:42, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

The references are no problem, and I can probably add a few more. They are all legit references. DinosaursLoveExistence (talk) 12:47, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn’t want the page to be removed, and adding a large amount of unreferenced info to a new page is likely to pee off other editors. I’m sure you’ll understand that I can’t just take your word for it. The list (or at least some of it) must have come from somewhere, I doubt you had them all memorised. I would be grateful if you could enlighten me? --Trappedinburnley (talk) 13:12, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
