Hello, I just wanted to let you know that in general it's better to discuss changes on an article's talk page first, before removing information. Secondly, please don't remove previous disambiguations. I am reverting the solenoid page, as a solenoid is a shape first, and examples should be listed after. Please use the discussion for the article first to pose objections. Silver 19:26, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to your comments on my talk, I don't disagree that a page for each article is better format and will improve wikipedia. My concerns lie in that you removed the link to solenoids in mathematics and the format of the disambiguation page. Since the opening of the solenoid article comments in solenoids in physics and engineering, I personally believe there should be a comment as to solenoids in genetics there. I think the best option is to there have a link to the main article for solenoids in genetics. For example, if you search Philadelphia and look to the sections Neighborhoods (Philadelphia#neighborhoods), it has a short blurb with other links, but also has a link to the main article. I think that is what we should try to achieve on the solenoid page. There will be explanation of the shape, then a quick paragraph of each possible use, with links to those main articles.
Lastly, I found your comment 'this is how wikipedia works' very condescending. I think we should try to acquire a third party with a NPOV. For now I will just add the link back regarding solenoids in mathematics. Silver 23:21, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I suggest that instead of deleting most of the content of the DNA replication article, you copy it onto a temporary page and work on a new draft there. This is the approach I used when I re-worked the DNA page. I have created the page User:Tomjc/DNA replication for you. TimVickers 05:32, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Marbury09.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Marbury09.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image showing no evidence that the copyright holder has released it under the license indicated by the uploader which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Marbury09.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
