For a new user, I suggest creating a draft. Before starting, I recommend you read through this page about creating your first article. You also can access the Article Wizard from there, which will walk you through process of starting.

Seeing that you are here "at the request" of this group, I highly recommend you take a look at Wikipedia's policy on having a conflict of interest. Having a conflict of interest is not bad in and of itself, but it may draw additionally scrutiny to your contributions in your area of interest.
