Gay Nineties[edit]
I'm not reverting right now, but "gay" meaning "homosexual" had no public usage before the 1930s (see discussion on Bringing Up Baby) and was not familiar to the general public until many years later, so it's a safe bet that "Gay Nineties" was not coined with that meaning in mind...
