Obama article[edit]
I just checked the status of the Obama article, and it right now is only semi-protected, (this only prevents new and unregistered users from editing. As far I saw by looking at the logs, unprotection would not be a good idea. In order for you to edit the page (based only one the software, and as long as they do not change it so that only "sysops" can edit it all you have to do is to wait about 4-5 days and make at least 10-15 edits (I think that's right?).
