Hi Techjunkie90210. There is a long history of paid editing around Align, and you have just showed up and created an article about its founder.

This appears to be a one-off SOCK created to handle a paid editing job.

If that is the case, please follow WP:SOCK and disclose other WP accounts you have used, and please follow WP:PAID and disclose who paid you, and who the client is. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 20:25, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. This message is adding to the above. SwisterTwister talk 22:05, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Techjunkie90210. Your editing is very closely intertwined with that of Ronnyprone who has edited under more than one account. Would you please explain if you are working together with that person, and if you both work for some sort of marketing company? The key thing in WP is to be transparent about what you are doing. There are some other rules to follow but everything starts with disclosure. Would you please answer? You can do it here, just below this. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 23:02, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jytdog. I don't know ronnyprone, no, and I don't work for a marketing business. My apologies if I've done something wrong; I'm still learning the guidelines tbh. One thing I did do was copy some of the code which Ronnyprone did, as to be honest, it was easier to copy the way the links interacted and point to various articles than learn it myself, but that was just to make my life easier (Although after playing on my Sandbox, I thought I was getting the hang of it) Just stumbling around here and thought I'd give it a go on a rainy day. Guidance / questions / how to make improvements and add color all appreciated.

I am sorry to keep pushing but this is hard to believe. Again I am sorry but people lie all the time about this stuff. Please know really that there is a place for paid editing in Wikipedia but it needs to be done "by the book". So many people sneak around with this, and it is not necessary. You may actually have nothing to do with them but the editing is so intertwined that this is almost impossible to believe. So I am asking one more time..... please do answer. Thanks and sorry again.Jytdog (talk) 23:41, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well I'm sorry if it's tough to believe, but it's the case. I'm not really sure what else to say. A couple of pages popped up initially which were suggested pages to edit which were new and I thought I'd have a crack. Harder that I thought to do it to be honest but probably trying to run before I could walk. C'est la vie! Jytdog

OK, I appreciate you taking the time to answer again. This is hard thing.
By the way, quick note on the logistics of discussing things on Talk pages, which are essential for everything that happens here. In Talk page discussions, we "thread" comments by indenting - when you reply to someone, you put a colon ":" in front of your comment, and the WP software converts that into an indent; if the other person has indented once, then you indent twice by putting two colons "::" which the WP software converts into two indents, and when that gets ridiculous you reset back to the margin (or "outdent") by putting this {{od}} in front of your comment. This also allows you to make it clear if you are also responding to something that someone else responded to if there are more than two people in the discussion; in that case you would indent the same amount as the person just above you in the thread. I hope that all makes sense. And at the end of the comment, please "sign" by typing exactly four (not 3 or 5) tildas "~~~~" which the WP software converts into a date stamp and links to your talk and user pages. That is how we know who said what. I know this is insanely archaic and unwieldy, but this is the software environment we have to work on. Sorry about that. Interesting. Thank you! Again, trying to run before I can walk... I was actually enjoying trying to work out all the quirks ... it's easier than trying to learn code that's for sure... Let's see if I get this formatting right this time with the indenting... Techjunkie90210 (talk) 00:15, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You nailed it. :) Jytdog (talk) 00:16, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, I have created an as-short-as-possible guide to this place. It is here: User:Jytdog/How. Jytdog (talk) 00:18, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That is great. Thanks for sending! I must admit, it's so easy to get lost with all the guides on here. I'm going to read through all the discussion on the Notability debate. By the way - if you can't work out how to do something, is there a good place to go to ask a question? Techjunkie90210 (talk) 00:44, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
WP:Help desk or WP:Teahouse. There is a link to WP:Questions in the message at the very top of this page that has links to those, and others. (We do a lot with "wikilinks" here. when people do that in discussions, it is a good idea to check them out at least once. ) Jytdog (talk) 01:31, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
