SJHL[edit]

Hey, thanks for coming by on those team pages... is these anyway you could do Season-by-Season Standings charts on them? Or a bit of a team history? DMighton 01:09, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I'll be doing quite a bit of work on expanding those pages in the coming days and weeks. Thanks for noticing! --Sven Erixon 01:29, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Golf Courses[edit]

Hiya, I've asked another user if they would like to create an infobox for the golf courses, as I don't really have the expertise to create one myself, hoping to see a reply soon. If they say yes, this wikiproject is up and running. If they say no, i'll ask someone else. I'll write back if I decide to start. Thanks for the support, Grover 00:24, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Golf[edit]

Hi
Wikiproject Golf is up and running, so if you are still interested feel free to put your name here and start editing! Grover 06:05, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We actually do have some golf course scorecard templates now that are quite useful, but no infoboxes for tournaments or courses. I would really appreciate your contributions, as I am having a hard time starting it off. Thanks, Grover 04:22, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:American in can.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:American in can.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 17:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Saskatoonpolice.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Saskatoonpolice.gif. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

With the municipal election coming up, I figured it would be good to have another local meet of Wikipedia contributors in Calgary. This would be a chance to chat about Wikipedia stuff in general, but also to discuss ways to cover the election on Wikipedia. I’m suggesting next week, at a location (TBD) in the downtown area. If you’re interested in participating, please vote on when you’d like to schedule the meet. Thanks. —GrantNeufeld 22:00, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Happyendingsposter.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Happyendingsposter.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:45, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Enmax.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Enmax.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:45, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

January 2010[edit]

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Being John Malkovich. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Erik (talk) 16:37, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Pitch Black (film). It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. Erik (talk) 16:39, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. unused, low-res, no obvious use
