Muddy River[edit]

Hello, I just checked back on an older question I had about the Muddy River and see you mostly answered it. I want to make sure I get everything correct. So I'm looking at a Google Maps aerial, so the overflow access can be seen in the southwest quadrant at the intersection of Park and Brookline, right, and this is used to channel away excess water when the river is running high? And to get the route of the overflow pipe correct it pretty much makes a sharp turn as soon as it gets under the intersection of Park and Brookline following Brookline all the way to Kenmore Square, up Deerfield and into the river, correct?

Finally, following the normal course of the river to the end, where exactly does it empty into the river once it reaches the edge at the Bowker Overpass (specifically just south of Storrow)? I don't see any discharge pipes on the riverfront when I tried to do a bird's eye view of the site on the map apps. --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:50, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your description of the Muddy River Overflow pipe is correct. The Muddy River flows into the Charles via several pipes beneath Storrow Drive. I don't believe they're visible on Google Earth, but you should be able to see the sediment buildup in the Charles and that's where the two rivers meet.
