If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Leeenux Linux, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Keφr (talk) 13:44, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Leeenux Linux has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A linux distribution that does not meet the general notability guideline

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Leeenux Linux[edit]

I'm not sure there is much point you trying to improve this article. Unless someone has written about it we shouldn't have an article about it and no editing will change that. You might well just waste your time. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers. SmartSE (talk) 18:14, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Leeenux Linux[edit]

Yes, actually a lot of independent reviews are out there about this distribution. Its also on official Ubuntu derivatives list. Now I must ask you why did you write that no editing will change delition? You will see the references, so that the article will be according to wikipedia guidelines. Any problem? Just to add, Leeenux Linux is on Distrowatch, and they test any distribution before they add it to their list. It currently holds 142 position in popularity out of about 600 distributions available.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Spiralciric (talkcontribs)

Well a google of "leeenux linux" brings up only 6000 hits, which is never a good indication, and this is the only independent review I can find. I was just trying to save you the effort since having been round here for a fair while, I'm pretty good at judging the notability of subjects. The article is still way off meeting the general notability guideline and as such I'll be sending to articles for deletion for the community to decide on. As the developer of the distribution, you have a conflict of interest and so please make this clear if you decide to comment at the discussion. SmartSE (talk) 19:12, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As for google search, bear in mind that most people just write leeenux, without linux part. Try that, and you'll get 50,000. I will provide more independent reviews, but I asked for just one hour to edit this, and you could not wait. Ok, lets see what community has to say. I did not know however that to enter wikipedia, something must be popular, I thought that the goal is to cover everything. As a developer, I know what I am talking about, also saying that you would than have to remove a lot of other linux distributions that are described on wikipedia. This distro has been around since 2009, as well as wikipedia article, and there were no problems until now. You can also see that admin before you commented that article is just technical, not written as an advert.
