Have a few minutes?
Hello, Spiderone,
I was looking at some complaints on AN/ANI from a few days ago and saw the case involving Alex Bickerton and the MFDs you have nominated. So, I decided to do a search on the project for "Alex Bickerton" and found he had inserted his name into a variety of articles like MetroCentre (shopping centre), Newcastle United W.F.C. and Newcastle Arena and others. There is an actual notable person named Alex Bickerton but they live generations apart. Could you spend a few minutes reverting the additions of their name onto sections like "Board of Directors" (pretty impressive for an 18 year old) and find out whose names they removed from their appopriate place in these articles? You seem most familiar with this self-promoting teenager and their MO. Thanks for any help you can offer. Liz Read! Talk! 06:13, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Liz thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've tried to reverse the damage as much as possible. I've also removed Bickerton from Newcastle United Supporters Trust. It seems "The LA Fund" is part of this hoax (I believe the 'L' stands for Laura and the 'A' for Alex). Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 20:42, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Nomination Draft:Arcadia School for Speedy deletion
Hey @Spiderone, hope you are doing well. I am here to learn from your experience, and I am totally of the opinon that I would have done some mistake. If you could guide me regarding this I would be very grateful to you. You nominated a draft, which was not submitted, nor it was finalized in any aspect for the speedy deletion, as much as I know, drafts are drafts and can be submitted whenever they are finalized, after which it is decided if they are approved or not.
I did read the Speedy deletion criteria, and for what I have understood, may be I am wrong, but it is applied on pages that are in live space.
I created the draft in the public space so that if there is any other editor who want's to work on the subject could improve... I did submit a draft before and it was rejected, and I wanted to be extra careful with the Arcadia School's draft. I was also thinking of getting help from teahouse as well. I do know that the draft had promotional language, all I did there was gathered the information from different sources and structured them. I didn't even cite any of the sources.
Please guide me in this regard, and tell me how can I do better, and also let me know if the draft can be retrive, so I can work on it. I promise you I won't submit it till it is in accordance to the Wikipedia policies.
Thank you.
P.S. Hopefully, I haven't offended you in any way, if I have, many apologies in advance. Annika59 (talk) 20:44, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- Annika59 WP:ADMASQ is clear and says Blatant examples of advertising masquerading as encyclopedia articles can be tagged for speedy deletion with... The same applies to pages in userspace, the draft namespace, or any other namespace. Draft space is not immune from deletion for promotional text. Nevertheless, if you want it restored, you can appeal the deletion at User talk:Justlettersandnumbers or WP:DRV. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 20:56, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
