Re: Image then Article you deleted[edit]

Well first of all I didn't delete it, I merely asked Waxxywilly77 (is that another acount you use, all the images was uploaded by that acount) what he intended to do with all those letter scans since they where not in an article (guess it was deleted by then). If you check the deletion log you will see that it was deleted by Steel359, the supplied reason (CSD A7) is shorthand for speedy deletion criterea #7 for articles, or in other words a bio that does not asert the significanse or importance of it's subject. Most of the images where deleted because they where tagged with license tags that indicated they where not free content ("permission for Wikipedia only" or "non-commercial use only" and such).

Nothing deleted on Wikipedia is truly gone though, it can be undeleted and viewed by administrators. It's "bad form" to outright undo another admin's deletions though so I suggest you either explain to Steel359 why Mr Nelson is indeed notable and ask him to undelete it himself, or (since he indicates that he is busy in real life for a while on his page) take it to Wikipedia:Deletion review and ask for an undeletion there, again supply as much info as you can on why he is notable and how you intend to improve the aticle when undeleted (note that a common outcome is to undelete an article and list it on "articles for deletion" instead, but that way at least you get a chance to explain why it should not be (re-)deleted). --Sherool (talk) 00:30, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of William E. Nelson[edit]

I have nominated William E. Nelson, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/William E. Nelson. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
