Well, I have to confess that the above is a fairly standard greeting - it's more to let you know that I can help if you have a problem with uploading an image or some (by no means all!) of the funny ways of coding you can use making articles for this place.

If I might be so bold as to ask, would you be willing to take a look at the article List of writers from peoples indigenous to the Americas? All the red links there are people whose biographies need writing, and that needa a lot more expertise than I can bring to the table. Also, it's become a pretty extensive list but I estimate there must be at least 200 names missing from it - if you have any additions that'd be great! All best, James. Vizjim 14:35, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it¨s a pain when that sort of thing happens. The problem is as always that Wikipedia doesn't recognise that indigenous authors may be notable within a specific community even if they don't have huge sales figures etc. There was a huge fuss a while ago over Diane Bensons entry, which you can see at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Diane Benson and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Diane E. Benson (second nomination), which came down to the same sort of issues.

I've cleaned up and wikified the article as best I can and think that there should be no questions about her notability now, so have removed the tag. Nice article, by the way. Vizjim 14:22, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello SpecificallyJo! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Maria Campbell - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Looks fine. I've removed the tags. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 23:08, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your article has been moved to AfC space[edit]

Hi! I would like to inform you that the Articles for Creation submission which was previously located here: User:SpecificallyJo/Leo Yerxa has been moved to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Leo Yerxa, this move was made automatically and doesn't affect your article. Your draft is waiting for a review by an experienced editor, if you have any questions please ask on our Help Desk! Have a nice day. ArticlesForCreationBot (talk) 22:36, 17 June 2012 (UTC) Critiques noted... is it possible to have the notability reviewed by an editor familliar with Canadian writing/publishing/indigenous authors of the Americas? Leo Yerxa is one of the few, perhaps the only, indigenous author to win the top Canadian award for his work in his primary field of work, and his contributions in other fields of interest (first indigenous artist to have work featured on a coin by the Royal Canadian Mint). His name was already included on different wiki pages, and i was primarily pulling the info together into one space.[reply]

I have left the notes in place so that I can come back (when I have more time) to reorganize the references. I have forgotten a few of my easy notations (how to sign this, for instance!) after a time away. This is the first time I've sent an article into the queue to be seen by an editor, though I have worked with different editors on different pages that have not found disfavour from the editorial folk/volunteers.

Thanks, all best, specificallyjo SpecificallyJo (talk) 21:11, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 30[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help.
