Background Experience[edit]
Following college, I entered into Retail Sales Management to pay off my student debt and discovered wine as a pleasant recreation. That began a 40+ year career in sales (retail & restaurant) and (wholesale) marketing with dabbles along the way in production and education (Enology 45: Introduction to Sensory Evaluation of Wine at California State University Fresno, 2002-2011). Wine Culture (IMHO)[edit]
General over-emphasis on romance and mystery tend to promote snobbery. Over-simplification of the complex subject of wine tends to promote myth and ignorance. Musical Taste[edit]
As a collector of popular music (primarily from 1960-1990), I find the biographies and histories of composers, writers, musicians, and performers to be very engaging and interesting. I believe many of these artists have been denied the credit their material deserves, simply because their recorded works didn't penetrate the "Top 40" bubble of radio play.
