Review of edits[edit]

Hello! I was looking over your edits. I know we have talked by email. On Wikipedia I am user:bluerasberry, and you can message me anytime on my user talk page. This is your user talk page, where people can message you.

I saw that you wanted to reuse a reference which had already been used once. The guide for doing this is at WP:REFNAME and is the "reference name" policy. I formatted this reuse in the Wikipedia way, which is to add a "name" to a reference. If you click through and see what I did then I hope it clearly shows what happened. If you look here at the way it was before, you can see that you wrote the footnote as "[1]" but that number is not actually a link, and it was not generated automatically by Wikipedia. After I made the change, look at the difference. When Wikipedia makes the reference link, the numbers always match the order in the reference section and there is a link in the text of the article to travel to the bottom and see the reference, by clicking the number.

Another issue is that the citation is to the glossary on diet.com. Wikipedia is skeptical of a lot of websites, and in the case of this one, no author is listed on website, it has no obvious organizational affiliation, and it is difficult to determine if the website promises accuracy. I know that you did not add this source, and that it was already in the article, but still it is useful to notice where better sources would be helpful. A preferable source to cite might be any diet glossary book which could be found at the library, and which is written by any health authority.

You have the idea of how to make a citation. The citation you did here was proper but if enough time passed, someone would review this and eventually name the reference in the Wikipedia formatting way.

You are off to a great start in a highly consulted article! I look forward to seeing whatever you may do next. I am watching from the side, but message me anytime. Blue Rasberry (talk) 16:20, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
