Seoirse Clancy.
Dear Smtchahal, Seoirse Clancy was born George Clancy; while at college he decided to devote himself to the Irish language and to Irish nationalism and asked that he be referred to as Seoirse Mac Fhlannchadha - the deanglicised form of George Clancy as he saw it, however as sometimes happened in such cases [e.g. Pádraig Pearse] he came to be known as a composite of those names: Seoirse Clancy. It is under this name that he was and is predominantly known. As such, this is why I changed the wiki article - to improve, correct, and make it more relevant.
