earliest track recording cars[edit]

You asked (Track_geometry_car#History) if there were earlier examples. http://www.teignrail.co.uk/neptune.php says British Railways bought a total of 13 trolleys from Matisa of Switzerland between 1957 and 1967. An article in September 1966 Modern Railways says the Neptune car had been tested over 15,000 miles and provided a means of automatic assessment of the data recorded by normal Matisa trolleys.Johnragla (talk) 03:17, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
