Vinland Map controversy[edit]

On the Vinland Map talk page you wrote: "this article's been reverted to a clearly inaccurate state, using the phrase "most recent" in the lead paragraph, although those are not the most recent". If you can supply references to more recent sources in these categories (and note that I've now added a third for clarity), then of course the paragraph should be changed- but I'm guessing that what you think are more recent sources in these categories are, for one reason or another, not. My main point was that the phrase 'most recent' is relative, not definitive, and at some future date, likely to be untrue. Dating facts is neutral, and inarguable. Furthermore, as a journalist by education, I'm reasonably versed in what constitutes a source. But thanks—that tone is what keeps Wikipedia contributions all that they can be. —Skeuomorph (talk) 23:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
