Conflict of interest?[edit]

Information icon Hello, Shuster1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Richard Shusterman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Your username and the fact that you have only edited the article Richard Shusterman suggest that you may have a conflict of interest regarding this article. Please read the notice above to learn how to properly disclose a conflict of interest and request edits to an article about yourself, your family, friends, etc. Thanks, Biogeographist (talk) 17:22, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Biographist,

My username is a misnomer, I am a disinterested party, but merely wanted to keep my own identity private. I have reliable sources to contribute and wish them to get through, but am new to Wikipedia. Thanks.Shuster1 (talk) 19:28, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop editing your own Wikipedia biography[edit]

As has previously been mentioned, you should not be editing your own Wikipedia biography. If you feel there are issues that need to be addressed with the article, please make comments on the article's talk page and other editors will evaluate your requests. Dear WikiDan61,

I am not Dr. Shusterman and therefore should be allowed to make edits. Just an educated party interested in his work, wth reliable sources to draw from. Please advise on how to make my edits stick; I am new to wiki and unsure of your procedures. Thanks.Shuster1 (talk) 19:28, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

January 2021[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Richard Shusterman, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 16:06, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
