July 2023[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Jalen Rose, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 19:42, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Genocrypt[edit]

Hello, I noticed that the citations you have been adding to various articles are all to genocrypt.com. It is not a reliable source and appears to be spammy. Please stop adding them. Thanks, Ptrnext (talk) 15:14, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ptrnext,
Thank you for your suggestion and valuable input. I would request you to go through the articles that I have provided as citation. I am quite sure that you will be amazed to see that the articles are upto the mark and are correct both in terms of content and factual figures. Please let me know your valuable input again after you have gone through them.
Thank you. Shruti1945 (talk) 17:40, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Shruti, cryptocurrency sites such as these are not considered reliable sources here. The content may be accurate, it might also be mirrored from another source, and it appears to lacks any editorial oversight. Also, adding references only to this website (that too in the lead section) makes one think if they were added for promotional purposes (SEO, ad clicks, etc.) especially when there are plenty of accepted reliable sources which you could instead use to cite them. Don't add it again. Thanks, Ptrnext (talk) 03:53, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
