While you may have information that you wish to share about Angie Sage's publications, information in Wikipedia must be verifiable for readers in a published relaible source. An e-mail that you claim to have recieved from the author is not an acceptable source and the information cannot be included in the article. -- The Red Pen of Doom 14:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your personal communications do not qualify to place information in Wikipedia. Please do not continue to revert the article, doing so may lead to your account being blocked for violation of the 3 revert rule. Please return the article to the version that does not contain unsourced speculation or provide a source that will verify the publication dates.-- The Red Pen of Doom 14:37, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! -- The Red Pen of Doom 15:49, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your interest in sharing information on Wikipedia. The article you created on the forthcoming book The Magykal Papers does not provide any sources. I was not able to find any mention of the book in a google news search which may be a primary indication that the subject of the article does not meet Wikipedia's notability requirements for articles. You may wish to provide any sources that you have to upgrade the article or the article will be deleted per Wikipedia's processes. -- The Red Pen of Doom 14:48, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of The Magic Thief[edit]

I have nominated The Magic Thief, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Magic Thief. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? KV5Squawk boxFight on! 13:55, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to The Magic Thief has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. AFD notices[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 14:08, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Syren (novel). Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Speedy deletion of The Spook's Sacrifice[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Spook's Sacrifice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 23:06, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Syren (novel)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Syren (novel), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. JD554 (talk) 06:45, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of The Magykal Papers[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Magykal Papers, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of The Magykal Papers[edit]

I have nominated The Magykal Papers, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Magykal Papers. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Warning[edit]

I want to make sure you're clear on a couple of things: first, when an article is put up for AfD, it is unacceptable for you remove the tags from the article. Second, and most importantly, when an article is deleted through an AfD, it is inappropriate for you to recreate it, as you did with Syren (novel). If you continue in this manner, you could face losing your editing privileges. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 04:15, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Syren c.jpg}[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Syren c.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Syren[edit]

I assume it's you who asked me about the rationale behind the prod tag I added to Syren. Of course everybody knows what Amazon is, but an Amazon entry is not significant coverage per WP:NOTE, rather something resembling a directory entry. There are no reviews (can't be, since the book isn't published yet), no newspaper articles on the book (or even articles mentioning the book), nothing. That's what I meant with "no significant sources". Yours, Huon (talk) 17:32, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, i saw you have created the Syren book page which was previously deleted. Refrain from doing so untill the date for the reelase of the book approaches as without any concrete references the article will be continuously deleted and your own work will be wasted. I know it feels good to ahve the article along with the Magykal Papers articel, but there simply isn't any source for a separate article. I myself have tried to create the Septimus Heap (character) page for a long time but without any real world significance, they will be deleted. So lets wait for the release of the books (Syren and Magykal Papers), when we can have surplus of information, so that the article won't be deleted. by the way. i updated the Syren cover art image non-free use rationale so that it won't be deleted :) --"Legolas" (talk) 06:36, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Themagykalpapers.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Themagykalpapers.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cover art[edit]

The cover arts used in the image you uploaded are copyrighted to the author and the artist. Hence Wikipedia is not supposed to used it directly for their articles and has to pass Non Free Content Criteria or WP:NFCC. Go through it and you will know why the image is failing at present and what can you do to improve it. Since the Septimus Heap article is a Good article (I developed it) hence any copyright violating additions are always removed.

PS: Yes I am a Septimus Heap fan. --Legolas (talk2me) 06:48, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Compare both the images and you'll get to know.--Legolas (talk2me) 07:43, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Having a source doesnot necessarily deviate the fact that the image is still a copyright violation and doesnot constitute a rationale. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:32, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, another IP to do your job is sockpuppetry for which you can be blocked. Secondly, adding unsourced info in articles is another form of editing abuse. If you donot stop you will start receiving vandalism warnings. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:40, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you have source then verify it with WP:RS and you are free to add it to the article, there's no need to proove it with me. Yes, Im a fan too, but Im also very tough regarding WP:NFCC and WP:UNSOURCED. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:46, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I will reply later but I must warn you that donot post your mail ids in talk pages. This will be bad for you only. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:53, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
