How to make warnings

Hi Sam! Thank you for your compliments. Actually it's really simple, since I use warnings that come in templates - you can find some of them here. I revert the vandalism and then post a warning on the offending user's talk page. Cheers! Yuser31415 (Review me!) 23:47, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

ACX plane article title

I got the game 3 days ago, and after unlocking all of the fictional planes but the Fenrir, I have to agree that the page should be renamed. The Apalis and Fregata in particular really aren't anything special (They're outperformed in the A/G role even my the real aircraft in the game). The only thing that distinguishes them is that they are fictional and tune-able.

Well, whether you agree with that or not... getting the game has given me the opportunity to start work on Democratic Republic of Leasath and Federal Republic of Aurelia. The hardware lists are completed, I just need to start writing. Zaku Two 01:31, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Nah, I'll unlock it on my own eventually, but thanks anyway. I still have to get the Falken, too.

Back on the topic of the articles, I think replacing Super" with "Fictional" would describe the article much better. Hell, the F-22, Su-47, Su-37, and S-32 outperform all of them except the X-02, Falken, and Fenrir. Also, since there's barely any info for the XC-01, we should probably merge that into it if we change the title, as that's also a fictional aircraft from the game that's not long enough to be more than a stub. Zaku Two 02:44, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

The Meson Cannon article could use some work... I'll start doing some stuff with it when I'm done with Aurelia and Leasath, but for now, merging XC-01 would be a good addition to it.
I haven't bought the Forneus yet, but I modified the Apalis so well that I used it for almost every mission until I could buy the F-22. Now that I have the X-02, I have pimped the living crap out of it.

Ace Combat X Fictional Aircraft deletion review

Hi Sam! Well if it was me that was creating the article, User:Sam ov the blue sand/Ace Combat X Fictional Aircraft is where I'd put it while I was working on it. If you let Proto know, he can copy the deleted version to there for you, or, if you have a copy yourself, you can recreate it there. Just one thing: don't put categories, or stub templates either, on an article when you're working on it in a temporary location, otherwise it will likely confuse people! Everything else would be exactly like editing the real article, so it's much easier than doing it on your pc as you see just how everything looks. When you're done, all you need to do (normally; in this particular case you'll want to check back at deletion review) is cut and paste everything into the right place and add the categories. Like I said, easier (and safer; Wikipedia has backups!) than doing it on your pc. All the best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:19, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Perfect! Best of luck, and a Happy (Gregorian) New Year when it comes. There's only 32 minutes of 2006 left here now, so I'd better run off and join the happy family. Cheers! Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:38, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, if you want to write it to conform to WP:FICT, the best way to do so is not treat them like real airplanes (because they aren't). Anyways, everything's actually in WP:FICT and there were suggestions given in the AfD. Spira (Final Fantasy X) is a decent template to base an article on. See the opening paragraph? It makes it very clear that it's a fictional place in a video game. ColourBurst 00:54, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

XC-01

I'm not sure yet, I'll merge them in a day or two and see what I can do with them. By the way, sorry I haven't responded to some of the messages you've left, I just got done with midterms, so I've been busy for the last few weeks. ZakuTalk 23:38, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, this is interesting...

So we must agree to disagree, because the cat is fine and I'm with him on the matter. Arfan (Talk) 12:38, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

About 2 categories I added to Sasori

You still wonder about the reasons why I added these cats? As you want to know. I’ll explain to you with my plainest clarification.

1) FICTIONAL EVIL GENIUSES This cat has 2 main factors: Evil and genius, which combine into evil genius.

  • Evil: Sasori is evil, no one can deny this. He exterminated a village, killed all villgers and turned the corpses into human puppets. Those clues are enough to make him defined as “evil”.
  • Genius: Let’s see the definition of genius from Wiki: “A genius is a person with great intelligence. The term also applies to one who is a polymath, or someone skilled in many mental areas. The term specifically applies to mental skills rather than anything else, although it is also colloquially used to denote the possession of a superior talent in any field; e.g., Diego Maradona or Jose Macia may be said to have a genius for soccer, or Winston Churchill for statesmanship.” Another definition from Answers.com:

a. • Extraordinary intellectual and creative power.
b. A person of extraordinary intellect and talent: “One is not born a genius, one becomes a genius” (Simone de Beauvoir).
c. A person who has an exceptionally high intelligence quotient, typically above 140.
a. • A strong natural talent, aptitude, or inclination: has a genius for choosing the right words.
b. One who has such a talent or inclination: a genius at diplomacy.

Why is Sasori considered a genius? Because of his undeciable talent in various fields:

- Akatsuki member (an organization which contains almost all of geniuses). Also, what Sasori has demonstrated through Part II series is obvious clues for his talent.

- Killed the Third Kazekage, the strongest Kazekage ever known in history of Sunagakure.

- Master puppeteer: Chiyo can be regarded as a genius in puppet manipulation, but Sasori is even much better. His talent in puppetry is shown from early age, which is a notable mark for genius-nature. With high creativity demonstrated through the creation of human puppet and using them as powerful weapons, it’s hard to find another puppeteer who is more prominent than Sasori. According to the definition I have mentioned above: “The term specifically applies to mental skills rather than anything else, although it is also colloquially used to denote the possession of a superior talent in any field…” We don’t know exactly Sasori’s IQ but at least Sasori can be considered a “genius” in “puppetry” field and he completely meets the criteria for a “genius” appellation.

- Master of poisons: Sasori himself is able to concoct fatal poison that “takes effect instantly and kill the target after three days of suffering”. A good brain for chemistry.

- Mechanical intellect to create a lot of malign traps: remember that if it hadn’t been for the attendance of Chiyo, who has known thoroughly Sasori’s complex traps, Sakura might have said goodbye to Naruto.

In conclusion, let’s imagine of a person who is a master in many fields: puppetry, poisons, killed the most powerful Kazekage, intelligent enough to create complex traps, and last but not least, whose talent has been apparently shown from childhood is perfectly fitted with the definition of “genius”.

  • Evil genius”: I bring the definition of “evil genius from Wiki article: “The Evil Genius is an archetype or even a caricature that is a recurring staple in certain genres of fiction, particularly comic books, spy fiction, action films and cartoons. The evil genius serves as a common adversary and foil of the hero.

As the term suggests, evil geniuses are characters of great intelligence who choose to use their knowledge for antisocial ends. To qualify as an evil genius, one must use cunning to craft complex plots that cause havoc and destruction; criminal tendencies are a must. Their schemes often hinge on mundane details that heroes can exploit, foiling their plots at the climax of the story.

=> As I have analysed the two factors “evil” and “genius” and to make a comparison to this combined definition, Sasori qualifies as an “evil genius”.

Also, see the origin of an “evil genius “Evil geniuses have commonly had difficult childhoods. They may have been orphans or witnessed their parents' horrible deaths.” => Again, Sasori’s case meets this criterion. I suggest you read some characters’ articles in the cat so you’ll have a deeper insight into the definition and you’ll understand when we put a character in this cat and why. OK, I have clarified why Sasori should be in Category:Fictional Evil Geniuses. Now I’ll come to the next one.

2) FICTIONAL SERIAL KILLERS
About this problem, at least other 2 editors agree with me, including Power Level and Arfan. But there’s a difference between the versions of mine and PL’s. Mine is FSK and PL’s is Fictional mass murderer. However, after taking into consideration, I decide to put the cat FSK which is more accurate in the definition (though the two share nearly the same meaning). Again, I’ll begin with “what’s a serial killer”?

A serial killer is someone who kills several victims in three or more separate events with an emotional cooling off period in between the homicides. The cooling off period may last days, weeks, months, or years, and reference to separate events and separate locations, Many are psychopaths, who are considered personality disordered and not psychotic, and thus appear to be quite normal and often even charming, a state of adaptation which Hervey Cleckley calls the "mask of sanity."

From Answers.com: “A person who attacks and kills victims one by one in a series of incidents.

As you know, Sasori has massacred a whole village, means that he must have killed “several victims” as noted above (im fact a hundreds of people). Also, his killing may happen through his time in Akatsuki for several events, not only in the bound of a village. It means that he has done his role as a “serial killer” in “three or more separate events”, which we don’t know exactly.

Moreover, Sasori’s serial killing also comes from “personality disordered” (in which include the criterion: The pattern is stable and of long duration and its onset can be traced back at least to adolescence or early adulthood) because of his losing beloved parents and the method of education in Sunagakure.

What makes a “serial killer” different from a “mass murderer”?
“Mass murderer”: Mass murder (massacre) is the act of murdering a large number of people, typically at the same time, or over a relatively short period of time. Mass murder may be committed by individuals or organizations.

The term may not always be applied in relation to the acts of serial killers, who may kill many people, but not necessarily all at the same time.

Except for the time killing the whole village, Sasori may still commit some “killing events” in the background that we don’t know. Thus, “serial killer” is more accurate.
Hope that those explanations will clarify a bit why I added 2 cats.

P/S: I always welcome you to be my fellow wikipedian. There’s only one thing I want to say, please respect other editors’ edits and consider the info they put in the articles before “blindly reverting” because everyone must have their basis before they add certain details (except for IP and other vandalisers, I mean). Naruto-related articles seem to become a monopoly areas for some specific users like Someguy0830, Snapper, TTN and everything must come though their “censorship” before becoming an “official information”, which sometimes make me very annoyed… I hope that you won’t act like that and we’ll happily and equally collaborate to improve more articles. First, sorry if my calling you "a little boy" makes you feel uncomfortable. Consider we're fellows from now on and we'll make friendly discussions on the matters. I know that you've paste the excerpt of my message to User_talk:Someguy0830 and called him for handling (the word "handle" is very funny). Again, it's an message in which I try to explain to you in the most clear way to make you not wonder any more why I added the two cats (as you request me to do so), not an essay. I also suggested that if you'll find something irrelevant in my analyzing, you can propose them to me and I'll reconsider the facts once more time. Best regards. Deleting speculation

If you have time, moving a deleted chat thread to the poster's talk page can be seen as less controversial. It's also easier for new editors to understand if you do this, with a proper explanatory reply. –Gunslinger47 01:41, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Advice

Yo Sam,

i need your advice on a page i've kinda taken up work on fixing up and all that jazz

i've currently got a LONG list (set up in a table)that is 37 rows long SEEN HERE

and im thinking of createing it's own page for it and also taking it out of the table and put it into more of a list set up such as i've have shown below, doing this would allow me to add more detail to the items and possibly better place pictures(i understand its not a good example of one, but its the only one i've got an image uploaded for:P)

______________________________________________________________________

===Rainbow (hand's shield)===

  • Rank: S
  • Description: An O-part used in chapter 57 page 42&43 spread, this o-part allows for the control of gravity and is a formidable weapon against many foes due to the fact that it is able to divert projectiles(as in ch 57), no other use's f it has yet to be seen

i understand it may be a semi-bad example here, but it's the only one that i had a picture uploaded for:P ______________________________________________________________________

BUT im wondering if the size of the main page would merit haveing a page that breaks off such as the one im thinking of adding

im wondering what your opinion is on all this so i can make a better decision

thanks again.

Ancientanubis 18:50, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

the manga is called 666Satan, it is written by Seishi Kishimoto (the twin brother of everyone's favorite person Masashi Kishimoto) im a member of Narutofan.com's group Narutofan+(gives me a big list of manga/anime to download from) and after reading ALL of the naruto manga i decided to read something else and i remember readin that Masashi Kishimoto's brother wrote one and people were bitchin and moanin cuz they thought it was some what of a copy of naruto, so i checked out the page on wiki before([old page]) readin it. and needless to say, it was horrible, so after i read the entire manga i decided to add alot of stuff(including pictures, possibly a better description of alot of stuff, etc. etc.) so thats waht i've been doing for the past few days, so far i've added a story arch/volume & chapter list, list on the angels & demons(kinda like the tailed beasts from naruto) and added a picture for jsut about every character

what i am asking your advice on though is for a list of O-Parts(in naruto terms they're kinda like asumas knives he use's), all of which have different powers from makeing you become flat(2D) to telekinesis and etc.

as of right now the list of these o-parts are in a huge table with 3 columns(name, rank, description)

what im thinking of doing is giving them their own page, which would therefore allow me to take them out of a table, give them each there own ===opart name=== kinda thing, and then i'd also be able to add pictures and possibly a more in-depth description for it

if you need any more of a better description let me know, i'll also include a few links to the page

thanks again,
