"It was orally preserved, predating the advent of Brahmi script by several centuries."

This statement in this article itself shows this is not true and it is spurious claim. Is it possible to preserve orally?? Even in this modern ages we find too much distortion in our spoken language. Whether one have to believe this claim. Till date there is no tangible, archaeological evidences found to support this spurious claim on Prakrit or Sanskrit.

Also next spurious claim is "Veda" is Archaic Sanskrit. Why cannot it be another language before Prakrit or Pali. We all already agreed the point that Prakrit got it written form only after Ashoka era i.e. around 260 to 232 BC. we have to have some logic's behind since the researchers who told are also not have enough evidence behind this. I have read all researchers book in the below mentioned in the references, They are telling on assumptions only and it is only possibility and not to be Sanskrit. We should have some substantial evidence to prove that it is Sanskrit and no other language. Till that time we can change the line

Logically it fits since When Megasthenese visited Chandra gupta Maurya Kingdom around 300BC, His remarks must be taken into account. One of the main remarks in "Indica" "There were no written books in Chandra Gupta mauryan Courtyard." Back home there were books were written in ancient Greek". This remark only pushed Chandra Gupta Mauryan to find written language. All of a sudden within 40years span a writing system was found and started writing in his grandson Ashoka era- from 260BC.(If some one wishes the discussion on the origins of Ashoka Brahmi shall also be done in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahmi_script talk pages.).

So what it is claim that "vedic period" itself has no evidence, since the Sanskrit never among the spoken languages of common people of that time. Also note that there is no evidence telling Sanskrit as Vedic language. All researchers have their own personal perceptions on the findings which are proved wrong once new evidences emerge. Saarleya, Is that realy possible to preserve Orally without any distortion?? Come on, even in one day how much the people are adding things to a event in reality?? Would you want us to believe it has been preserved!!! MMSSRohin (talk) 13:00, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
