Vandalism[edit]

Please be advised that this reversion was not reverting vandalism. There is a significant difference between vandalism and a content dispute as this appears to be. I have no idea which edit was more correct, but it is not clear that this was not a "deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia." Toddst1 (talk) 20:46, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

January 2010[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. {{Unblock on hold|1=Toddst1|2=This is my only account, I do not have multiple accounts and this is probably an error, though I have an idea why.|3=Beeblebrox (talk) 19:41, 3 January 2010 (UTC)}}[reply]

  • While we are waiting for comment from the blocking admin, I have a question: You say in your unblock request that you have an idea why you were blocked, and you seem to be implying something, but you do not clearly state what that something is. Some clarification of what it is you are referring to would be helpful. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:41, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was most likely because I edited couple articles about Montenegro that say Serbian instead of Montenegrin language(official and constitutional language), and some people don't like that and keep editing it to Serbian. And I know other people keep editing it back to Montenegrin and admin probably thought I was someone using several accounts to do so. SS.Nolimit (talk) 20:05, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Let's wait until we see the outcome of the checkuser. Details at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rave92. Toddst1 (talk) 22:59, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Can you tell me how do I put comment on that page since I can't edit and I'd like to defend myself there. Should I just type it here? If so here it goes:

First of I'll just tell you I'm not Rave92, but I guess that's not enough. Second you'll check my ip address which is quite different then other ones listed there. Now you must first see what is being edited on those pages, if it was something complicated it would have been suspicions but we are editing language from Serbian to Montenegrin, and it's not just us, the other side does it all the time and there's no ending to it. And language on those pages isn't something complicated that you need extended knowledge about, many Montenegrins would be annoyed with seeing it there and hence the numerous edit. I've seen both Sideshow bob and Rave92 around on wikipedia and I'm sure them 2 aren't same users, but then again I still have to prove I'm not their alter ego or something heh. I just happened to be reading wikipedia articles(like I do almost every day) when I come across articles, and if I recall it was agreed(some time ago with user that was editing language back) that we would keep at least Montenegrin/Serbian and I just edited back. I won't go in problem about language here because that's not the point of this anyway but I'll gladly elaborate why I edited. Also it was mentioned I might be sleeper account or however it's called(I'm not very knowledgeable about some in-depth wiki stuff) which is kinda true, I got tired from editing and fighting edit wars few times in past and been just occasionally coming back to do some small edits but I see not much changed... Don't know what else to say really, ask me anything you want and I'll answer asap.

I've posted your comment on the SPI page for you. Toddst1 (talk) 16:26, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

The spi case seems to support your claims, sorry for any inconvenience

Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rave92[edit]

Hello. Let me start by apologizing for the apparently incorrect block. Please rest assured that it is not personal, rather it was done with the best of intentions. I'm sure you can understand how this situation has developed and appreciate that I asked for the CU to ensure my blocks were correct.

I noticed you have posted a comment after unblocking to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rave92. Unfortunately, questions asked on SPI pages after conclusion are seldom answered. I happened to have the report I submitted watchlisted so I thought I'd answer your question here. I've seen a ton of reversion of the Montenegrin/Serbian language of late and quite a bit of edit warring around it. The point you made is indeed a very good one. I would encourage you to submit an WP:RFAR or at least an WP:RFC on the subject as it is highly contentious and positions passionately held by every partisan. Frankly, I'm tired of blocking editors for edit warring on the subject. I really don't have an opinion on what the outcome should be other than it should be resolved.

Please let me know if I can be assistance in the future. Best regards. Toddst1 (talk) 21:49, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No need to apologize, it was new experience at least hehe, I understand all the reasons behind it. I'll talk to some other editors from Montenegro to decide what we should do first and see where it goes from there.

Montenegrin language[edit]

Hi, SS.Nolimit. As i told earlier, it looks like you came just in wrong time with wrong edit. Montenegrin is not ISO-recognized language, so Wikipedia agreed in the consensus earlier that until that occur, Serbian remain, as Montenegrin language is officially regarded as Serbian language version. That is the reason why there is no Montenegrin Wiki! Please, don't place Montenegrin language tag in articles, as those edits will be reverted. If i can help you in any kind, or if i can answer some of your questions, ask me!! :)

Be good. --Tadija (talk) 22:48, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Check it out and join if you want, this project was created with an idea of uniting all editors interested in Montenegro-related articles and coordinating our efforts towards expanding those articles. Since there are very few of us who still actively contribute, any help would be appreciated. Cheers. Sideshow Bob 15:05, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Appearance Of Nothing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.  ajmint  (talkedits) 22:09, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
