Sayed Noorullah Jalili[edit]

See WP:AFC. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 15:24, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, don't do that, as it's been declined and deleted from AFC as well. Just stop trying to write an article on this person. Pinging Yamla, 331dot, and Deepfriedokra, as it looks like they're again trying to create the article that lead to their block last time with only three edits not related to the article. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 15:29, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have a headache in my eye. Of course the talk page blanking makes it worse. Class dismissed. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:35, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@SJYTMAIN: Please find something else to write about. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:41, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry for the talk page blank. I was not awaree that it is not allowed. In my previous communication, admin Yamla said I could blank the talk page if I wish. Also, in regards to the article, I still believe that although my account being blocked for sockpuppeting and other disruptive behaviour, there is no reason for the article to be held on those same counts. As I said in my unblock request, I am preparing to write about many things and bring about many positive improvements to articles on wikipedia. However, I do not see why this article can't be published. I have spent time on it and feel that it should be given a fair look at to see if it can be published again. I am open to your feedback, thank you. SJYTMAIN (talk) 17:31, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response. I completely understand. However, I believe that if a viable article can be written on this person then I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be published. The reason for the previous article's deletion was because of unambiguous advertising. As a result of that, my account was also blocked. The article was published to the live-space before it could be submitted for review and therefore a ton of errors were evident. However, now, I would like to publish a new draft for review which can be improved by admins and other community members and then finally made ready for publish to the live-space. If it is a question of notability, I also believe that the person is notable as there are a plethora of sources which can be referenced for the article. All in all, in my personal opinion, I don't think recreating this article is going against any wikipedia guidelines and if a viable and neutral article can be written on the person at hand then there should be no issue for a publication on the encyclopedia. Please let me know your thoughts, SJYTMAIN (talk) 17:40, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If they are truly notable then wait for someone else to write the article. With your history you shouldn't be touching it with a ten foot pole. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:12, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your prompt response. Once again, I would like to only request a chance for submitting a draft of a new and improved article. I have spent months off wikipedia and have learned my lesson. I would not be able to talk on this talk page if I hadn't. If you are saying that I should not be able to write the article because of my history, I would like to once again reiterate that I have learned my lesson admin ScottishFinnishRadish. I promised that I would not cause disruption or once again include unambiguous advertising in any article. I am trying to stay true to this promise by respectfully requesting an un-protection so I can then submit a draft for review and then receive feedback and further improve it just like many other articles which I have seen on wikipedia. If you go to the practice edits section on the homepage, you will see a multitude of articles which have unambiguous advertisement. However, there is a note above them which says please help improve this article. I would like to get a chance to publish a draft and then have others improve on it until it is ready for publishing in the live-space. I believe I should be given a chance to redeem myself and try to create the article. Please take the time to consider my request, SJYTMAIN (talk) 18:20, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, goodness no. Leave that article alone. Listen to what you've been told. --Yamla (talk) 17:58, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok sure, I will do as told. However, I personally feel as though I am not receiving the same rights as other wikipedia users. If I could create a valid article for a notable figure which is free of adveertisement or bias then why can it not be published? Nevertheless, I will follow the advice of Admin Liz from a while back where she advised me if I rack up my edit history and work towards becoming a frequent editor then I can try to request an un-protection. For now, I will work on other pages and work on the draft of "Sayed Noorullah Jalili" in my own user space to make it as ready as can be. SJYTMAIN (talk) 08:43, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You've repeatedly demonstrated yourself incapable of doing so appropriately. By continuing to insist on editing or talking about this article, all you are doing is demonstrating you should be reblocked. WP:DROPTHESTICK, stop editing about this and stop talking about this. Not even in your own user space. Rack up substantial appropriate edits elsewhere and maybe, no sooner than six months from now, we could reconsider. --Yamla (talk) 09:21, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, thank you for your message. There is no need to become aggressive or argumentative. I was just saying I will follow admin Liz' advice which I see as appropriate for this situation. I do not see why I can not practice writing in my sandbox or user space, please explain that. SJYTMAIN (talk) 09:27, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Yamla. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Faramarz Tamanna, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Yamla (talk) 09:24, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will add the reference. SJYTMAIN (talk) 09:25, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have added more references and restored the information now. SJYTMAIN (talk) 10:12, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You did not cite the 0.99% number. --Yamla (talk) 10:13, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have added an article from ToloNews as a citation. ToloNews is an independent news site in Afghanistan. The original Election Commission website has been shut down and therefore the original site can not be attained. Also, admin Yamla, I know this is again a repetitive ask. However, if possible, could you review the article in my sandbox and tell me what can be done to improve it? I would highly appreciate it. SJYTMAIN (talk) 15:54, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That citation looks fine. Draft:Sayed Noorullah Jalili is completely unsalvageable and I am stunned that you refuse to follow instructions you've been given to leave it alone. I will say this one more time, and only one more time. Stop attempting to write about Sayed Noorullah Jalili. --Yamla (talk) 16:12, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please explain to me as to why it is unsalvageable. The draft has not even been reviewed. You persistently refuse to give me a reason as to why it is invalid and can't be submitted for review. I am kindly requesting the opinion of other admins. You are continuously refusing my rights on wikipedia to submit an article I have spent time and effort on, without giving me any specific reason to why. I am not breaking any rules or guidelines of wikipedia. After my unblock, I expect to be treated fairly in accordance with the wikipedia guidelines as other users are. There is no reason for why I can not submit the new article for review. Please explain it to me. Thank you. SJYTMAIN (talk) 16:26, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I got that from Wikipedia itself from the article on election results. I will reuse their citation if that is fine? SJYTMAIN (talk) 10:23, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source; see WP:RS. However, if there's a valid citation on another article (i.e. one that adheres to WP:RS), you can most certainly reuse that citation. --Yamla (talk) 10:30, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, thanks. I will look for one now. SJYTMAIN (talk) 10:34, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You were warned, over and over again. As you clearly have no intention to WP:DROPTHESTICK with regard to your advertising of Sayed Noorullah Jalili, I have blocked you indefinitely. Frankly at this point, I would not support an unblock without a topic ban on Afghanistan politicians, broadly construed. --Yamla (talk) 16:33, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I feel as though I have been treated unjustly. You have still not provided me with a valid reason and have now blocked me. I would like a second and fair opinion from an external admin. I have gone through months and months of work in order to get my account and unblocked and to be able to publish the article which I have spent so much time on yet still, I feel as though, I am being treated unfairly. SJYTMAIN (talk) 16:35, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You have had multiple people tell you to WP:DROPTHESTICK. Over and over and over and over again. You are free to request an unblock; you clearly know how. Be warned, other admins may wish to impose a stricter set of restrictions. --Yamla (talk) 16:37, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am not advertising Sayed Noorullah Jalili in any way. I requested very politely for the article to be unprotected so I can submit a new and imrpoved draft which can be reviewed and improved by others. However, I still was not givent he opportunity. SJYTMAIN (talk) 16:37, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As you won't let this subject go, I'm done here. I will not respond further. You have completely exhausted my patience and clearly haven't the slightest interest in listening to what people are telling you, over and over and over and over again. --Yamla (talk) 16:38, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have only received your opinion and the opinion of admin ScottishFinnishRadish. Both were based on my history on wikipedia. When i was unblocked, I expected my slate to be clean and to start off new on wikipedia. However, I was still held to my previous blocks and behavior on here. Instead of reviewing my article and giving me advice on how to improve it and get it published, you told me to refrainf rom even touching it as I had a bad history with it. However, have you judged the article in itself? SJYTMAIN (talk) 16:41, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Sayed Noorullah Jalili, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 17:00, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The draft does not need to be deleted. It is a solid base to be improved on. Please let me know where it can be improved. I am not trying to advertise. The person is notable for the ecnyclopedia and the page should stay up. It can be improved and minor changes can be made to make it ready for publishing. Every other candidate in the 2019 elections has a wikipedia page, even those who did not perform any campaign. This candidate deserves a page and the draft does not need to be fundamentally rewritten. SJYTMAIN (talk) 17:14, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is not unambiguous advertising. You are breaking the wikipedia guidelines by nominated my article for no reason. Please help to reeview it fairly and help to improve it. I repeat, it is not unambiguous advertising and should not be deleted. That is going against wikipedia guidelines and refusing me my right as any other wikipedia useer to have my article fairly reviewed. SJYTMAIN (talk) 17:23, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Quoting your unblock request from 28 July: "If the article is rejected again, I will oblige by the admins' feedback and recommendations." The draft is unambiguous promotion, not least because you now seem to be saying that the only reason you want to edit Wikipedia is to create an article about this person. As a fairly experienced Wikipedia editor, and an AfC reviewer who had not seen this draft before today, I agree with SFR's rejection of it as well as with this speedy deletion nomination. Perhaps the administrator who reviews the speedy deletion request will disagree – but that is not your call to make, and this really is the point where you have to drop the stick. --bonadea contributions talk 17:27, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your feedback admin. The content within the article has been cited rigorously and I definitely agree that it needs to be improved. No article is perfect and there are many out theree with significant advertisement but they are still published. I am humbly requesting advice on how to improve it because I believe it does not need to be fundamentally rewritten. Please could you tell me which parts sound like unambiguous advertising or are not cited properly. I will work on it instantly and to the best of my ability, to make it meet standards. I have spent time on it and just want a fair chance as many other articles which have advertising or others issues to fix them. SJYTMAIN (talk) 17:31, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Additional comment: I understand that you are really frustrated right now, which makes it hard to respond in a calm and collected way. Speaking from my own experience, the best thing to do in that situation is to step away, close all browser windows with Wikipedia in them, and do something completely different for a while. --bonadea contributions talk 17:32, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request[edit]

Request reason:

Dear Admins, I believe that there is no need for my blocking. I apologize if I have offended any of you in anyway or have wasted your time. It has only been around 1 week since I have been unblocked on wikipedia. I spent months reviewing my behavior and waiting until I get the chance to be unblocked on wikipedia and publish my article which I spent days of my time on. I am not promoting Sayed Noorullah Jalili in any way. I have written an article about him and it is continuously being rejected by the same admins for review. I am simply and humbly requesting that the article be given a fair chance for review and for me to be able to improve it and submit it to the live space. I am still being held accountable for my previous actions on wikipedia. My article hasn't even been looked at or reviewed on the basis of its contents. I was blocked within minutes of submitting it for review. The reason I had to do it through my sandbox was because they kept rejecting my request for it to be unprotected and once again, based on my history. From the bottom of my heart, I am just asking for article to be given a fair look and for someone to help me publish it. I have no malicious intent or want to do any harm on here. It is an article about a presidential candidate. Every other candidate has a wikipedia page and this one doesn't. My conflict of interest has not clouded my writing of the article. I have written it as fair as I can and just want a fair review and improvement of it. SJYTMAIN (talk) 12:47 pm, Today (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

Sorry, you will not be unblocked to write about that person. I did write, please find something else to write about. But no, you had to go on with it, despite all the discussion saying you should not.

Once again, please find something else to write about.
Endorse topic ban on Afghanistan politicians, broadly construed. proposed by Yamla above.

There has been sufficient discussion already here, but this is where discussion needs to take place. Please find something else to write about. Best -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 17:50, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much Admin. I really appreciate your help. I understand, I am ready to move on and find other things to write about. I will not go near the draft for Sayed Noorullah Jalili again or attempt to write about him. I am ready to move on. SJYTMAIN (talk) 17:52, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to all admins involved today![edit]

To all the admins who were involved in my case today. I am extremely sorry for my actions and sayings. I should've taken your advice and moved on. However, my reason for rejecting was because of how much time and effort I invested. But, now I realize that the effort I am putting to write about a topic I am not allowed to, I can use that time and effort to write about something else and contribute in a better way. I am willing to let bygones be bygones if you are. To the admins involved today including, admin Yamla, admin Deepfriedokra, admin Bonadea and admin ScottishFinnishRadish: no hard feelings? Please reply so we can move forward on a clean slate!

Request reason:

Dear Admin Deepfriedokra, Thank you so much for your prompt reply. My answer is Ok. I am ready to move on. You can block me from writing about Afghanistan based topics. However, it is not necessary as I will not be writing about Dr. Sayed Noorullah Jalili. I am now humbly requesting that my account be unblocked. I promise not to write about him anymore. I will simply now just make on request for any admin or member to here, if they could write a better article for Sayed Noorullah Jalili, please do as I believe he is really worthy of an article and notable for one. However, I will now refrain from it. I am ready to move on. I am sorry to admin Yamla or any other admin who I have given a headache to today. I realize now after a breakdown that it is time to move on. Thank you. I am now requesting for my account to be unblocked and I agree with whatever your terms are. SJYTMAIN (talk) 17:51, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining this request. While others have suggested a topic ban, I do not feel that allowing you to edit here would have any net benefit to the encyclopedia, given what are essentially your single-purpose contributions to date and your inability to drop the stick. --Kinu t/c 18:43, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I promise to find new things to write about and roget ever writing about anything related to Afghan elections. Please give me a month worth trial to see if I cause any other disturbance again. If so, I will redact my account and will accept an indefinite block from wikipedia. I am serious about moving on now. If you would like to, you can place a topics ban to be more sure. However, I promise now to move on and start writing about other things. As you can see from the article I wrote, my writing skills are definitely above beginner level and I can definitely prove useful to the encyclopedia if I put my skills to other uses. I promise now that I will move one and make my writing multi-purpose. The use of my account will no longer be to enforce a publication of the Sayed Noorullah Jalili article. Give me a months trial to prove myself. Thank you. Please let me know when a decision is made.
