Please help![edit]

i need to know how to change my password, someone must have it on my shared IP, and is vandalising pages. PLEASE HELP Dalemurph (talk) 13:21, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, if you think any article isn't worthy of being on Wikipedia you can say so at any time. Looking at the article though the mention of an award win might well mean a PROD would fail. I have no idea if that award is any good, I'm no expert! I'd go for an AfD, at least that way a number of people will look at it and a consensus will be agreed. Thanks, Mallanox 14:22, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The New Vandal Tester[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your query on my talkpage. My opinion is that the edits were not crude/vulgar enough to be certainly bad faith vandalism; an editor with as few edits but whose contributions are simply "X is a wanker" or similar is obviously a vandal. Someone who changes numbers and dates may be a vandal also, but I WP:AGF'ed and regarded it as a test, and thought it better not to bite the newbie. Perhaps I am wrong, and the account will get braver with the disruption and end up blocked anyway - but if I am right perhaps they may start to edit constructively... Either way, it will resolve itself without needing an immediate block. I hope this helps. Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 20:41, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed your reversion on PlaneShift (video game); however, I fail to understand your rationale for doing so. He clearly provided an explanation on the talk page of the reason for his edit (which I agree with despite his clunky wordage). Regards, Tuxide (talk) 12:52, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Studio Ghibli[edit]

It was not vandalism, it was a fact. Disney wont release Only Yesterday as well as Grave of the Fireflies. how could you see that as vandalism without actually checking?!?! is everything vandalism nowadays? even this just got removed by an automated bot for vandalism, i thought this was what a talk page was for?! what is happening to Wikipedia? I had to undo the change. Gah. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.5.200.106 (talk) 12:55, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Apologize[edit]

I apologize at my indiscretion on earlier. I did not realize that this wasn't a sandbox. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.209.102.134 (talk) 18:05, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anderson Cooper edit[edit]

The edit I made to Anderson Cooper is not vandalism. It is a verified fact and can be found by doing a simple search on Yahoo or Google. Please do not falsely accuse me of something I did not do. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bill Freznecker (talkcontribs) 19:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Vitali[edit]

Hello FelisLeo. I noticed your recent revert on Chris Vitali. I can't seem to restore to the previous version, and there have been more suspected vandalism to the page. Could you fix it up? Thanks DigitalC (talk) 07:52, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grama Vidiyal[edit]

I'm sorry, but I do not see how this is blatant advertising. The listing of products is useful information for anyone interested in microfinance. The people that receive Grama Vidiyal's services do not even have access to the internet, so this is not being aimed at them. The information is useful for anyone trying to get a rough sense of what Grama Vidiyal does. Other banks websites, e.g. Goldman Sachs, offer a listing of their financials and profits (this information comes from their website for most part) and no one objects. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.22.250.12 (talk) 12:21, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the topic of A1[edit]

A1 is not a reason to delete short articles; Wikipedia actively encourages the creation of short articles (stubs). Stubs serve as a starting point for articles to be expanded. However when the article is so short it cannot be expanded because the subject of the article is not clear there is no reason to keep it. In the case of Herzog College there is enough information in the article for someone to know which college is being referred to, and find more information on that college. Rudnichny[edit]

Sorry that you took it that way, but replacing a number of entries with a redirect with no explanation of why sure looks like "unexplained deletion" to me. In any case, I removed a red-linked entry on a person with no back links (and who does not, in my opinion, pass the notability threshold) and re-classed the page as a set index article. If you disagree, let's discuss it on Talk:Rudnichny. Thanks!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 14:12, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Being bold usually only works in places no one watches or cares about :) This particular set happens to be a node in a huge system, in which consistency plays an important role. Anyway, no harm done, and since we did manage to spot and kill an entry that was not supposed to be, the net outcome is positive. Let me know if there's anything else I should address. Cheers,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 14:32, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there felisleo[edit]

thanks for welcoming me that is like so sweet, i hope we can be friends, by the way that edit on the vikings wasn't by me i was just reverting it just so you don't think i am a vandal.

Hi Felisleo[edit]

After some search & research, I have found one Dr.Gaamaa Hishigsuren, a fellow of MicroFinance Management Institute and an expert in microenterprise development finance. Intrestengly, she has presented her PhD thesis on Grama Vidiyal and ASA. You could take a look at her thesis submitted at Southern New Hampshire University in Aug 2004. I have requested her help concerning this issue.

Continue I do accept your views, but I also believe a PhD thesis for a reputed a uni shud be respected. Wen a thesis is presented and accepted by the univ committee, it does become a secondary resource. dilli2040(Talk) 13:31, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I removed your {{db-bio}} speedy deletion tag from the above article, because it is not a biography and it did "indicate the importance or significance of the subject" (the A7 criterion) as the article stated that the organisation is "the governing body of volleyball in Montenegro"; the importance and significance being that it is the governing body of a professional sport in an independent country. If you wish for this article to be deleted, I suggest you nominate it at AfD. Regards, EJF (talk) 10:54, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It meets the "reasonable indication of why it might be notable" criterion. An organisation which claimes to oversee a notable sport in a notable country has clear significance, and such a claim is also a "reasonable indication of why it might be notable". Red links are not a reason for deleting articles; they are a reason to create articles. Regards, EJF (talk) 11:48, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Replied at my talk. Cheers, EJF (talk) 13:34, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please help![edit]

Every time I put a reference guide for assistance with HMRC & Tax it is deemed by Wiki as advertising!

I am not advertising my product, I am pointing out a very useful information forum. Does anyone know how I can educate the auditors at Wiki???
