Re:AfD[edit]

There are many lists of fair wider scope than the one on food-related topics. Therefore I ask that you please explain your stance at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of food topics, where I've presented a topic list on Mathematics that is at least a Megabyte in size, which is about 200 times the size of the one I created. What I don't understand, and what you have failed to explain, is why one is okay, but not the other. Please explain this to me at the AfD. Thank you. --Transhumanist 20:58, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I completely rewrote this article, removing advertising and citing sources. Could you please review my changes and consider revisiting your vote? Thanks! --Aguerriero (talk) 17:39, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

    • Reply - yes, you've done a fine job of rewriting. But I still don't see what makes this company notable. Certainly it would appear to provide fine products, but so what? This is just my humble opinion and you've obviously got fine writing skills, so its not about the words, for me it's about whether it consistitutes an advert for their company. I've actually just done a partial re-write on an article for Alfred's Kitchen. I'm not totally convinced that this article shouldn't actually be deleted. The kitchen has played a historically important role where I live, but arguably that was a long time ago and is now just a hamber joint. But back to your point. What has Audio Analogue done to make it notable other than being a provider of equipment? I mean, if they had invented a new technology, or revolutionised home audio in some way etc. But all I can see is a company selling gear. Rob 00:34, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perth Radio[edit]

G'day strongly suspect entries by either persons on the stations themselves, or otherwise born after 1985 (!). Lack of historical understanding of the earlier stages of Perth Radio stinks, imho SatuSuro 09:11, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Svensgaard

No Probs. I was under the impression of Mr. Svensgaard's nordic origin due to the literature supplied with the game, but if Firaxis say he's American then I'm not going to change it back. =)

ricaro mello and anthony dupuis[edit]

sort the sites out(anthony dupuis) and (ricardo mello) they are really rubiish

Unfortunately, removing a {{prod}} tag is not vandalism--anyone is free to do that. The user who removes it should leave a comment explaining why, but in cases like this article (see WP:SNOW) the remover almost never does. According to WP procedure, the article should now go to AFD. Pah. -- Merope 13:28, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! If it were up to me, I'd make prod tags like {{db}} tags and prevent the creator from removing them. Also, I looked at your userpage and I wanted to direct you to another edit counter (Kate's is now defunct, I think) here. Happy editing! -- Merope 13:32, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dont know your background...[edit]

However, I am probably more qualified to answer any questions in this realm (laser hair removal procedures) than you are. I know the doctors on that site, and they truly are the pioneers in that field. When I said 'unfair', I agree that was a poor use of words that implied I felt subjectively about it. I can conceed that.

Anyway, no hard feelings. However, I will pursue this and will personally call Dr. Bernstein and see what he thinks.

Re: Colonization[edit]

Nice welcome *lol*. Anyway, the reason why I thought it relevant information (and the game does irrefutably run under DOSBox) is that the platforms the game was released on are all more or less obsolete these days. Meaning, if you want to run Colonization today on a modern platform, DOSBox is pretty much is your only option (Or slowmo+VDMsound or WMWare, etc, but let's not go there). Of course DOSBox-ability also means you can run the game on platforms it wasn't even released on (eg., Linux). I guess I don't really understand the point you're trying to make. Or let me rephrase: If the information doesn't belong where I put it, then where does it belong? Surely it is relevant information for someone.

Non-productive activity[edit]

Ah, so you're the one who edited out that nonsense on that article?? I don't know who put that in there, but it was definitely someone stationed here at Scott Air Force Base, I believe. Some of my friends in the weather squadron forwarded me the link. I thought it was hilarious, but I knew it wouldn't be long before someone caught it. Some people just have to much time on their hands. I think I even have an idea who did it...He claims he didn't, but I have my suspicions...anywho, I want to apologize on his behalf. I have a sense of humor, and I thought it was funny, but you gotta draw the line somewhere, right??

Hello Rick, thank you for your comment on my edit about Moses. If genocide is not the right term to designate killing all males and women that have born children, I don't know what is. I just think that it is important to note this. It's not one or two people that were put to death but thousands. When this happens in today's times (Bosnia, Armenia, Sudan etc...) it is called "genocide".

How exactly is Fleur-Delacour.com a commerical site? Bliss Girl has been the best source for Fleur information for over a year now, and I see no problem with including a link to the fansite, even if the subject is a character. Ayashe October 2006 (UTC)

Gee, lets see. What could possibly be that the best possible source of information regarding that fictional characte... maybe the books? Can you also please provide evidence that to back up your unusual claim that the site is "the best source for Fleur information for over a year" - to date? To answer your question (and thanks for not signing our comment, always a good sign)- I checked out the link. I could find little to do with the article in question, which is regarding a character from a book. The site, appeared to be asking for "afflicates to sign-up" to encourage even more people do somehow link to the site. Yes the name "Fluer" appeared a lot. Yes, people were requested to "dress up as Fleur and send in photos". So what? What, if anything, has that got to do with the article in question. Nothing. Good luck with your site, I'm sure a lot of people draw a lot of pleasure from it. Rob (Talk) 13:40, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That was obviously me, considering I'm the one who edited the page. And there was nothing in my comment that warranted your rudeness.

"Gee, lets see. What could possibly be that the best possible source of information regarding that fictional characte... maybe the books?"

Yes because everyone always has their Harry Potter books right next to them. Most fans carry them around in little satchels so we can always have them on hand. Did you ever think that there might be fans of Fleur who like to have a fansite to come and talk about her, to write editorials on? To make some graphics? Fleur-Delacour.com has been around since May 10, 2005! Whois the domain if you want to check the validity of this claim, it's not that hard.

"I could find little to do with the article in question, which is regarding a character from a book. Changed your story, huh? You obviously have something against it. Why not try clicking on some of the links? Like Fleur, the section on her. Or graphics, interact, and media with Fleur graphics interactions, and uh, media? Or the Fleur Delacour fan forum? Yes, in the site section there is (what fansites call) and affiliate page. And yes, like most fansites there are top affiliates. The site is obviously not about making affiliations, anyone with half a brain can see that. Yes, the name Fleur does appear a lot, and considering it's a fansite for her, that's not that strange. And yes, there was a costume contest going on.

The site has everything to do with Fleur, because that's what the site is about. I believe you are deleting the link because you biased against it somehow, not because you don't believe it's a fansite. Therefore I am going to take this matter to the mods because you can't delete links from Wikipedia just because you don't like them. Ayashe 29 October 2006 (UTC)

By all means do that. I stand by my comments. Rob (Talk) 11:55, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Coderuler[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Coderuler, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Eastmain (talk) 18:33, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you have revised either Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri or Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.

I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.

Thank you.
