The article Esin eden has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:23, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted[edit]

I have deleted the article since you created it on the Turkish Wikipedia. Thanks for trying to give us an article, but if you recreate it you must do so in English - and with at least one reference, because it is about a living person. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:35, 28 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I got your note on my talk page. I looked at Esin Eden again and found that you had translated it into English, so my deletion reason was actually wrong. My apologies for that. However, as I noted then, all new biographies of living people on the English Wikipedia must have at least one reference. That would mean a newspaper article, a mention in a book (by someone else), and so on; her own personal website, one of her own books, or her publisher's website don't count. (Nor does your personal knowledge, I'm afraid.) In addition, I don't see evidence that she is notable as Wikipedia defines the term, which basically means either that other people have written about her or that her accomplishments justify covering her in an encyclopedia. This is the other purpose served by references, in addition to supporting the content and allowing a reader to find out more. Our general notability guideline - has been written about several times by others - is summarized here. Alternatively, special guidelines for actors are here and for writers here. Read those and follow the links in the first one for more information about terminology, such as what counts as a reliable source, and then if you still believe she is notable, create the article again in English with references. Alternatively, you can create it as a draft through Articles for Creation, and one or more experienced editors will work with you and it will only be created as an article that readers can see after it is ready and reasonably safe from speedy deletion. On reflection, since I made a mistake and deleted it on an invalid criterion, I would be willing to restore it. But I would then immediately replace the Proposed Deletion template, and you would need to add at least one reliable source within a week to prevent it from being deleted for that reason. Since I see you have not edited since January, I won't do that until you return to Wikipedia and tell me to do so. Please read about teh policies I linked to and be aware that the Proposed Deletion template cannot be removed until a reliable source has been added; you were removing it before, and with this kind of template that is not allowed until the issue has been fixed. Message me when you are ready to add a source and I will restore it then. Yngvadottir (talk) 05:10, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm afraid the Internet Movie Database doesn't count as a reliable source, because anyone can edit it. You need to find something with editorial control. Is there a newspaper article about her anywhere? Or did she win any awards? Yngvadottir (talk) 13:56, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
