March 2024[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself, your interests and goals as they relate to editing Wikipedia, as well as disclosures of conflicts of interest and paid editing. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. Thank you. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 03:31, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rsjaffe,
The purpose of my article, as I said before, is to have a professional page with information about myself on the internet. I see no reason as to why a notable person should not be able to make their own WikiPedia article. Would it help if I asked someone else to publish the same article for me?
I spent hours on this article and do not wish it to be speedily removed from the eight-week waiting list for it to be removed. It does not contain spam, it is not a pointless topic, it does not violate copyright as all photographs and book rights belong to me, and it is not low-quality as well. These are the reasons that I am aware of that determine your page is disposed to the speedy deletion line. RikuFryderyk1 (talk) 04:01, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns about your autobiography[edit]

Hello @RikuFryderyk1:, I hope this message finds you well. I have just seen your community post on YouTube about the Wikipedia article for yourself that you are in the process of creating. May I advise you, strongly, that it is not a good idea to publish an article about yourself on Wikipedia, even if it is a professional page. The reason your previous contributions have been deleted is because they contravened Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, and specifically WP:AB, which states that writing an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. Unfortunately, having published a book or having a well-established YouTube channel does not make content about you eligible for inclusion on Wikipedia (see WP:CREATIVE). Also, the snippet of the article that you have made visible on the YouTube post appears to have quite a promotional tone, which would reduce your chances significantly of the article being kept even if it was published (see WP:NPOV). Basically, this attempt at publishing an article about yourself will be no different from your previous ones. Please also note the warnings other editors have given you - they have been given for a reason. Maybe you could consider contributing to articles about public transport in London instead? Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Redtree21 (talk) 07:17, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

so at what point in life will I finally be "eligible" to have a wikipedia article about myself? RikuFryderyk1 (talk) 08:40, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NAUTHOR is one (but not the only) criterion. If someone thinks there should be an article about you, they will create it. Jay 💬 08:54, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For some strange reason, there was no conclusion to the discussion about this article's deletion, and it has now been completely removed though other people were editing it. RikuFryderyk1 (talk) 21:06, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The discussion concluded 5 days back with the outcome of Delete. Jay 💬 06:22, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
