Hey Rex, I absolutely agree with what you have to say and I will take your advice and start that List of Custom Media Companies if you have not already. I am thrilled to have Publications Management listed and I believe very strongly in the CPC. It's a certain other custom media committee and specific member's agendas that have me extremely concerned lately.

I should note that I am not referring to you. I love what you do with your sites and your blogs and what you have done here. You are obviously very passionate about the ongoing growth of the custom media community.

Forget that ever happened

Rex, I read the cite you added to the link on Sperm whale and their bio matter being used in lubricants of space craft. When I contacted NASA regarding this matter, I subsequently received an Email from their PA officer explaining that no bio matter is used in the rover lubricants, but that they were still looking into the matter with regards to the HST. Based on that I removed the cite, until futher responses from NASA are received. That will also have to been done with respect to the EU matter as well. I appreciate that you appreciate my involvement in the wiki and I also enjoy the information it provides, however, I'm curious why my use of citation from a book that won the BBC's Samuel Jackson Award for non-fiction should be removed until an anonymous contribution from an unnamed source is received. I love whales and think that killing them is wrong, but you are attempting to edit a Wikipedia article based on original research rather than using a citation to a published and reputable source and that is clearly contrary to the way Wikipedia works. If you can find something on the vast NASA website that confirms what a private email says, it would be quite helpful.

Belle Meade Country Club

Hello. I saw your comment on the talkpage for Belle Meade, Tennessee, about why you deleted the info about the Belle Meade Country Club. However, I had created a page for the country club given its significant press coverage and even its own book, and the page was deleted: [1]. I had added several references about the fact that the club had only recently accepted one black man and one woman as I recall. I do think the country club has its place on Wikipedia, and I agree with you that it should have its own page. However, in lieu of that, I believe we ought to add the info to the Belle Meade page, in a subsection. Can you please revert back what you did, or argue to re-create the page? Thank you for your comment. Just to reiterate what you have noted: I have had nothing to do with editing the Belle Meade Country Club that you created. You'll need to take up that matter with someone else. The edits I made were on the city page for Belle Meade. According to Wikipedia guidelines, a City Page is not intended for the use you have in mind. The fact that you can't find another Wikipedia article in which to post your information does not change the guidelines of what should be in a city page. Wikipedia has very concise instructions and guidelines about what should go into a City Page. You can read them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Cities/US_Guideline I am not questioning whether or not you should share the information you want to share. I am stating the guidelines of Wikipedia. Therefore, I will not revert back any changes. I would appreciate if you continue this thread on the Belle Meade city page and not my user page. I seem to recall someone from the WP Tennessee page suggested I add the info to the Belle Meade page, that's why I did it. It's a very small neighborhood and the country club seems to be the main attraction along with the plantation. But I agree with you that it deserves its own page. I think some wikipedians are biased and don't want to admit to the bigotry of the country club, even though it is widely known.Zigzig20s (talk) 22:08, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
