The Deerhunter[edit]

If what you added is a quote from a critic, it needs to be clear that this was a question that was asked -- although to be frank, the article is already pushing a lot of boundaries insofar as an encyclopedic entry goes (and at the very least it is way too long). WP is not meant to be a place for reviewing films, and is also not a repository for everything the press has said about it. I'm of the mind that the info you were adding is best left out, but again, if it needs to be in there, it definitely needs to read as a quote by a source of substance with regard to criticism of the film. As it read previously, it sounded like a random open ended question without any clarification as to why it was included. Ryecatcher773 (talk) 07:42, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks for explaining. I inserted some revised language, and hope that addresses your concern. If not, maybe I'm not quite understanding your point, and you might suggest an alternative? As I interpret it, the controversy is along the lines of whether the conclusion is meant to be for or against patriotic values Reasoned skeptic (talk) 23:17, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
