For what I know, Brazil, Portugal are the 2 only "true" native portuguese speaker. I read all this in the article, and improvement were discuted in the talk page of the map (on wiki engliah or commons). I don't know more, and I don't speak portuguese. Hello, I thinking about the same problem for the last month, when it become clear that most of "war of edition" about maps (such as this about Portuguese) were because of the different understanding of "Portuguese speaker (country)", and "true native speaker".

I propose to make an article about this topic, talking about the different possible ways, and then taking a conclusion. I haven't enought academic knowledge about this, but I can put some good ideas about this, and others will be able crosscheck this.

For the moment, we can read "native speaker". They, we can work on and other article, or to improve this one with a clear conclusion-definition.

Laukkai

I'm just wondering why you replaced the shan-geo-stub template with burma-geo-stub in this edit. As far as I know, usually we use the most specific category/stub possible, which in this case is Shan State. I see—so the Kokang region is geographically within the same area as Shan State, but politically it's independent of it?

I'm just trying to get my bearings; I recently started the Kokang incident article and found that coverage of Burma issues on en-wiki has a lot of big holes, including this one (I had to do a lot of Google searching and reading articles on zh-wiki before I could find out where Kokang is).

By the way, Kokang incident is on the main page right now and will probably have a lot of traffic from vandals or POV-pushers, so I'll need all the help I can get from people who know a lot about Burma to help ensure accuracy and NPOV. Another question....do you know the geographical coordinates of Laukkai? It would be useful to add a locator/pushpin map to the article, using Template:Location map Burma and the {{Location map}} syntax, but I don't know the exact coordinates. Yeah that looks great. I didn't find the coordinates of Laukkai, I just found that of Kokang, which is 23°24'54N - 24°09'24N, 98°24'14E - 98°53'42E. Dunno if you read Chinese, here's an article: [1], and the article mentioned a place named 諸葛炮樓山(Zhugepaoloushan). In google maps, if you input 23.7 N, 98.7 E, you will see a place called 炮樓山(Paoloushan). I suspected that the two places are the same one. If so, you're looking at the map of the area around Kokang. Ok, that's pretty much the same area that I found as well. There is no Laukkai on the map, but there is a Laukkaing, which I assume is more or less the same thing. Consensus and blind reverting

On Wikipedia, working towards consensus means working toward a version that is acceptable to all parties. Blind reverting someone because you prefer your wording does not in any way further the process. Instead of just reverting my changes you should start from there and work back in the smell if you really think it is that important (but seriously, what else are a pile of dead nbodies going to smell like. Just because one article out of 2000 on the subject mentioned they stink doesn't mean we have to.) Insisting you are right and reverting over and over again is not appropriate, you don't OWN the article and anyone is absolutely free to edit your text if they don't like it (just as you are free to EDIT mine - what you are not free to do is edit war because you want your wording preserved. --ThaddeusB (talk) 03:51, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

re: About 1942 Guatemala earthquake

The page of the ABC newspaper was originally listed as 17, but there was not any earthquake-related material on that page, and that's why I looked on some of the other pages in that day's edition. I found, on page 15 (this would be nine days after the mainshock) some material. Is that the page that you're referring to? If it is, that should be changed in the article.
