I have moved your draft article to here. Based on WP:COI, WP:GNG and WP:PROMO, it will never fly until the person is actually notable. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:59, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest[edit]

I just ran across the article Dj Pup Dawg. I'm guessing, based on your username, that you, the article's creator, may be that person. First, let me strongly recommend that you read WP:COI, which is a policy that discusses steps you must take when editing articles whose subjects you are personally involved with.

In addition, I also recommend you take a look at WP:BLP, which is our policy on biographies of living persons. One thing you'll see is that all BLPs must have references, or the articles must be deleted. So far, your article has no sources, so please add those as soon as possible. Please note that a reliable source means an independent source, like a magazine or news article, not a self-published website (like the DJ's personal website).

Finally, please take a look at WP:N, which described Wikipedia's policies on notability. In order for an article to exist, the subject must be Notable. In general, notability for a person is established through the existence of signficant coverage in reliable secondary sources. I did a quick search, and didn't find anything notable about DJ Pup Dawg. If you cannot verify that this person is notable, the article will also be deleted. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, at the article's talk page, or on my talk page. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:06, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Dj Pup Dawg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Got your message[edit]

You should probably start with Wikipedia:Your first article, but you should also read our guideline on conflicts of interest. Toddst1 (talk) 15:10, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
