The article Christopher Morris (author) has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:59, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • As you have, I hope, realised, stuffing an article with links to your own website serves little purpose - certainly it does absolutely nothing to demonstrate your notability. Please read {{uw-autobiography}}. My standard advice is that you should wait until someone with no COI thinks you are notable and writes about you. If the article gets deleted and you really cannot wait, I suggest you try the "sponsor" route. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:06, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Salem[edit]

I would be fascinated to know what led you to create the Castle Salem, Cork article - it seems so far from your declared interests. Given the appearance of the article and your submission about Peter Goldfield, I am somewhat suspicious about the status of the article. Can you declare and affirm that the text is not a copyright violation? (Since you may be a Quaker, I will not ask you to swear!) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:06, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised by the comments. I know more about the castle than anyone as I have been researching the castle and the morris family who lived there for over 20 years; I am actually related to the family! There are no copyright issues as all the quotes etc are from my own research or books that are no longer copyright. I am actually writing a book about the castle. A factual comment about the name. It has been traditionally refered to as Castlesalem; one word, but also known as Castle Salem and Castle Sally. The orginal name was Benduff Castle (Bhinn Dubh or Black Peak); hence the reason I put it in brackets.
I am just starting to try and input things on Wiki but it seems that it is quite complex and easy to just get things deleted. One can only learn by doing and making mistakes is part of the process; I should know I've been a teacher for 15 years! The more someone tries and learns about writing etc the better they will become. As for being so far from 'declared' interests? Well suprisingly enough I have varied interests. History and photography amongst many; hence the Peter Goldfield article, which was just deleted and I cannot see a reason. He was extremely well known and respected; just the person to be on Wiki. OK, I accept your claim that there is no copyvio over Castle Salem. But as to Peter Goldfield. You cannot see a reason? Follow this link: Peter Goldfield. Do you see "G12"? What do you see after G12 - is that not ample reason? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:27, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
