picapica niusence

If picapicas are a niusence, then you are too. Why do we need such defiite borders between different language wikipedias. Wikipedia started in the internal centric USA and not here in Australia. I am a Australian wikipedian and can tollerate (and even appreciate) to occasional foreign language term in an English language article.Myrtone (the strict Australian wikipedian)(talk)

Stubborn London sign

You asked why Image:0407-06-06WeakSubway wb.jpg doesn't want to be resized. It's because I uploaded it originally as a teeny-weeny photo only to ask a question about the language (from an American's POV, it was mysterious). So it's the size that it is--there is no Bigger for it to become. I hadn't intended it for use in an article, particularly, and in fact I had completely forgotten that I had uploaded it. Maybe I'll dig out the original and make a larger version now that I know it's being used. :-) Elf | Talk 00:48, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Lines v services

I have just returned to Wikipedia after a short absence (I was completing a book which had a deadline). I am very grateful for your comment, and am wholeheartedly with you in thinking that this matter should be resolved. I first came across it in Yorkshire, where there are a great many services radiating from Leeds; and in a similar way they were all counted as being entirely separate as far as their pathways were concerned, in spite of the fact that many of them used the same railway lines. I did a complete rewrite on all of those - and then discovered the same thing was occurring in the south-east, in the southwest etc etc. How do we get this discussed - any ideas? RE: Disavow/disallow

Thanks for your note. Perhaps; actually, I think either word is applicable: one of the meanings of the former is "to refuse to acknowledge or accept; disclaim". I’m the user that was formerly known as Bitola. I decided to make some changes (changes are always welcomed from time to time) and I created a new user account. I was pretty much involved in the Macedonian articles heated area for several months and these days I will take some rest from all that bickering.
