Nerdcore Medical article[edit]

Hello, thanks for writing this article! I’ve just read it and I’m a bit concerned that this company might not be notable enough to qualify for a Wikipedia article. That link goes to a guide, but basically any coverage of a company on here is supposed to be based on being covered in reliable sources, like newspapers-in the form of full articles and not just things like business listings.

Are there any extra citations you can add about this organisation showing it's notable? I'm concerned since the article is likely to get deleted otherwise. If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool. If you've got any questions just let me know. Blythwood (talk) 19:12, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nerdcore Medical requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. --Animalparty! I just wanted to flag some copyright concerns with the new article you created (Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms). In your edit summary, you mention you copied some relevant data from mtgwiki at mtg.fandom.com. Fandom isn't part of Wikipedia so while typically you can copy from other articles within Wikipedia with correct attribution, you shouldn't do that with Fandom wikis (see WP:COPYPASTE). In the first paragraph of the Set details section, some of that text was actually copied directly from a source so I've cleaned it up & added quotation marks. I don't have time to check the rest of it but if you could do a sweep and add sources, that would be awesome. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 23:41, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've tagged the article as a copyvio because the mtg.fandom.com source is licenced as CC BY-NC-SA 2.5, which is not compatible with Wikipedia. Mindmatrix 15:56, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Phlounder

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username IndyNotes, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Nerdcore Medical, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|IndyNotes}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

I'm confused, why are you reverting the deletion note? The instructions say:
If you wish to contest the deletion:
Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
Click the Publish changes button.
Am I doing it wrong? Phlounder (talk) 19:12, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Nerdcore Medical[edit]

Hello, Phlounder, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username IndyNotes, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Nerdcore Medical, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nerdcore Medical.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|IndyNotes}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
