April 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Persomics without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Information icon Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! North America1000 11:22, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Persomics with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 11:24, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Persomics", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. North America1000 11:24, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

April 2016[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Persomics, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. North America1000 11:28, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 11:42, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

this wikipage is inaccuarte and does harm to my company so all I want to do is see it taken down after that i am done with wikipedia.

Decline reason:

While you have picked a new username, you have not addressed the other concerns. Specifically there has been no indication from you that you will stop disruptively editing the article you are involved in. While you are welcome to report factual inaccuracies, or information that does not belong in an encyclopedic article, you do not have any special authority over an article about you or your company. Our conflict of interest policy describes our position on this. The best way to get unblocked would be to agree to contribute to the project in areas unrelated to yourself. If your primary goal here is to correct the article then it is enough to simply agree to engage in discussion on the article talk page instead of editing the article yourself. If I can get that from you I can talk with the blocking admin. HighInBC 15:23, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you want your concerns about the article addressed then please point of specific problems with it. Keep in mind that we use information in reliable sources. If we have information in an article that is not backed up by a reliable source then it is reasonable to ask for it to be removed. HighInBC 15:24, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

thank you. There are a number of inaccuracies that are not "backed up" in the article:

1. i am not the "founder" there are several. Try looking at our actual website persomics.com

2. quote : and has established a particular phenotypic screening kit that it uses for this purpose." we do not sell kits. this is simply wrong 3. quote: " Phenotypic screening is therefore a method utilized in perceiving gene expression." this is simply wrong. One can not perceive gene expression and this is not substantiated 4. quote : " Persomics produces a ready-made experiment kit in which any of these siRNAs can be contained. The kit contains the company’s plates, which can hold approximately 3,000 spots of sub-millimeter-sized siRNAs; these can be specified by the researcher requesting the kit" also untrue and misleading

- the spots are not "siRNAs" and anyone who would actually go to the site with a biotech background would think that we are doing something we are simply not, infringing a ton of patents.

- we dont sell kits and all this is doing is getting us the wrong kind of legal interest. 5. quote: "A researcher is therefore able to discern and validate several things: the ways in which genes are regulated" - unsubstantitated and wrong to anyone who knows the field 6. quote: "3,000 spots of sub-millimeter-sized siRNAs;" - siRNAs are not millimeter sized. this is like saying the earth is a tennis ball sized rock. 7. Quote : "Applications[edit] There are several multi-target approaches to drug discovery, among them that used by Persomics" we do not do any drug discovery at all. this is just wrong. 8. Quote: " As with this method, visualizing Persomics’ plates is made possible through the use of fluorescent dyes." - we do not use fluorescent dyes, but protein conjugates and there is a big difference - like the difference between paint and a great painting. Anyone who knows anything here would laugh at this. 9. Quote: " after many years of research pertaining to cures for infectious diseases at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Pretoria, South Africa, " this is my research and we did not find cures and anyone who knows the field would find this just ridiculous. We found mechanisms not cures. Cures take a billion dollars and ten years to create. 10. our industry is not drug discovery, we are a biotech. period. thats like calling ford a wheel manufacturer. just wrong.

My feeling is that you should care more about the accuracy of the article more than anything else.
