Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Federal law enforcement in the United States. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. - wolf 22:54, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for appearing disruptive with my edits, I am new to this. I was just trying to clean up and remove outdated information related to this list. I have done some research of my own into federal law enforcement in the US. Some of the agencies listed are not law enforcement agencies, and others have been disbanded. Additionally, I have identified a few that are not listed. How can I edit this article and while avoiding being disruptive/unconstructive?
On a side note for that article, it may be wise to set a definition for what agencies should be listed in that article. There are agencies in the federal government who employ persons who are authorized to conduct criminal investigations, but are NOT authorized to make arrests.
Thank you - PCKosakowski, 18:47 3 February 2019 (UTC)
In regards to adding/changing content, ensure you have reliable sources to support your edits and that you cite them properly. Another issue is the layout of the page, some of changes appear to be in conflict with it. Lastly, if you wish to make any significant changes to the page, including the definition of the subject, you should post your suggested changes to the article talk page and seek consensus to support them. - wolf 19:59, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
