Disambiguation link notification for April 27

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page FIDE Grand Prix (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I posted a sourced statement which proves what you said is false and you reject it (i post an interview with an Azerbaijani general who fought in the war and you post from a propaganda movie), i leave your statement and add mine and you still delete mine, i post pictures from an Azerbaijani source and you claim its not proof. Stop with your vandalism, just because you want to believe he killed Monte doesnt make it true. Ninetoyadome (talk) 16:38, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Good article reassessment.

Hi there. I noticed that you recently nominated Azerbaijan Premier League and Neftchi Baku PFC for Good article reassessment. As this is something that it used for current good articles, and neither of those are listed as GA's at the moment, I believe that you wanted to nominate it for Good article nomination? If that is correct, you should remove the GAR-template at the talkpages and follow WP:GAN/I for instructions on how to nominate these articles for GAN. Arbitration enforcement discretionary sanction: Armenia-Azerbaijan topic ban

The following sanction now applies to you (in accordance with the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions):

You are topic-banned (WP:TBAN) from everything related to Armenia or Azerbaijan for six months.

You have been sanctioned for the reason(s) set down in this Arbitration Enforcement request.

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2#Final decision. This sanction has been recorded on the log of sanctions for that decision. If the sanction includes a topic ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions#Appeal. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal. If you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you.  Sandstein  06:01, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

June 2013

To enforce an arbitration decision, and for violating your Armenia / Azerbaijan topic ban with your edits of 2 June 2013 about Azerbaijani football,
you have been blocked from editing for 48 hours. You are welcome to make useful contributions once the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing arbitration enforcement blocks and then appeal your block using the instructions there.  Sandstein  06:07, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Reminder to administrators: In March 2010, ArbCom adopted a procedure prohibiting administrators "from reversing or overturning (explicitly or in substance) any action taken by another administrator pursuant to the terms of an active arbitration remedy, and explicitly noted as being taken to enforce said remedy, except: (a) with the written authorization of the Committee, or (b) following a clear, substantial, and active consensus of uninvolved editors at a community discussion noticeboard (such as WP:AN or WP:ANI). If consensus in such discussions is hard to judge or unclear, the parties should submit a request for clarification on the proper page." Administrators who reverse an arbitration enforcement block, such as this one, without clear authorisation will be summarily desysopped.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hello, I've been user in Wikipedia long time ago, made over 20,000 contributions and never been given topic ban on Azerbaijani-Armenia relations few days ago by Sandstein. However, I think this ban is unfair as someone violated my IP and wrote some nonsense and as a result I've been unfairly blocked. Furthermore, looks like nobody given my account three-revert rule blocks I've demand to unblock me on charges of that 99% of my edits been trouble free, I've understand that in future I've take responsibility from my account as well as I will follow Wikipedia's guideline to make better community. --NovaSkola (talk) 00:13, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Procedural decline. The is an Arbitration Enforcement block, the details of which are currently being reviewed at a more appropriate venueJezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:04, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Arbitration enforcement action appeal by NovaSkola

Appeal moved to WP:AE by EdJohnston (talk) 04:13, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.
Procedural notes: The rules governing arbitration enforcement appeals are found here. According to the procedures, a "clear, substantial, and active consensus of uninvolved editors" is required to overturn an arbitration enforcement action.

To help determine any such consensus, involved editors may make brief statements in separate sections but should not edit the section for discussion among uninvolved editors. Editors are normally considered involved if they are in a current dispute with the sanctioning or sanctioned editor, or have taken part in disputes (if any) related to the contested enforcement action. Administrators having taken administrative actions are not normally considered involved for this reason alone (see WP:UNINVOLVED).

I've demand to unblock me on charges of that 99% of my edits been trouble free, I've understand that in future I've take responsibility from my account as well as I will follow Wikipedia's guideline to make better community. Statement by Sandstein

Statement by (involved editor 1)

Your topic ban is solely due to your edit-warring. Your disruption and as to what you were exactly edit-warring over was not even considered in the WP:AE process. This would mean that you received a six month topic ban in the least and escaped with anything more than that.

P.S. You could've warned us earlier about your IP address problems (if that were the actual case that is). Besides, your contributions and edits seem to be consistent and similar for the past month in the least. Proudbolsahye (talk) 02:20, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Please don't use personal no attacks. I wasn't aware someone used my IP account and no need to harass me with direct attacks. --NovaSkola (talk) 04:03, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Guba Article

How is it vandalism when i am posting the Armenian side of the event? You claim the info i posted is one sided, have you read the article? There is no evidence in the article which proves Armenians were responsible and yet it claims Armenians were responsible. Like i stated in the summary of my revision the Armenian Genocide has a denial section because some people dont believe it took place so this article should have its own denial section as most people dont believe it happened. So you deleting it because you dont like it is an act of vandalism so i am giving you a warning here, if you keep deleting it i will report you. Ninetoyadome (talk) 18:57, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Доброго дня. На английском как и на русском название города идет как Баку, а на Азербайджанском Бакы, на турецком идет как Бакю. Edit war on Khojaly Massacre

Hello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on Khojaly Massacre .

While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and edit wars may be slow-moving, spanning weeks or months. Edit wars are not limited to 24 hours.

If you are unclear how to resolve a content dispute, please see dispute resolution. You are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus.

If you feel your edits might qualify as one of the small list of exceptions, please apply them with caution and ensure that anyone looking at your edits will come to the same conclusion. If you are uncertain, seek clarification before continuing. Quite a few editors have found themselves blocked for misunderstanding and/or misapplying these exceptions. Often times, requesting page protection or a sockppuppet investigation is a much better course of action.

Continued edit warring on Khojaly Massacre or any other article may cause you to be blocked without further notice. Toddst1 (talk) 18:45, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

Notice of AA2

You are now notified of the discretionary sanctions provisions of the Armenia-Azerbaijan 2 (AA) arbitration case:

The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose, at their own discretion, sanctions on any editor working on pages broadly related to Armenia-Azerbaijan and related conflicts if the editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions including blocks, a revert limitation or an article ban. The committee's full decision can be read at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2#Final decision.

In future, please take care to edit constructively on contested topic areas. When in disagreement with an editor over an aspect of article content, take the dispute to the talk page or to dispute resolution; do not use the revert function to repeatedly force through your preferred version of the page. You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 23:50, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Issue

You are inviting feedback to your articles. Well, an issue is that you delete talk page items. The convention is that you keep talk page items on your page for a while, and then you archive them. How would I know whether somebody else has already commented on the issue before? I don't want to have to go through your talk page history to find out.

What I wanted to let you know about is that your DYK nomination has been rejected. I suggest you read up on the DYK rules. Schwede66 23:40, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your message on my talk page. Help:Archiving a talk page tells you how it's done. Personally, I use the 'cut and paste method', because it gives me control over the items that I want to keep on the page a bit longer. Others prefer the 'Automated archival' method. It's up to you. When you've decided what you want to do, feel free to get in touch again if you need a hand with this. Schwede66 17:54, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Şəkilləri

Hörmətli həmkar, dəyişiklik edəndə bir az ehtiyatlı olun. Elə şəkilləri silmisiniz ki, onlar tarixdə çox az bir xalqın yaddaşına yazılmış və bu qədər uğurlu alınmışdır. Vikipediya dəyişiklik edəndə digərinə xələl gətirmədən etmək lazımdır. İnanıram ki, biz bir-birimizi anladıq. Çox sağ olun. --Proger (talk) 11:32, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

--Proger (talk) 11:46, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Lap yaxşı. Əccəb eləmisiniz. Gördüyünüz kimi mən də onu saxlamışam. Bu arada Ramil Guliyevin Türkiyəni seçməsi mənə məlum deyil idi. Ancaq bu onun Azərbaycanın ən məşhur yüngül atleti olduğunu şübhə altına salmır axı. O Azərbaycandan çıxış etdiyi dövr ərzində, həm Azərbaycandan həm də azərbaycanlı olaraq ən məşhur yüngül atletçimizdir. Rəşad Sadıqov isə yaxşı futbolçu olsa da hazırda bildiyim qədərilə bir nömrəli qapıçımız ondan da məşhurdur. Yox? --Proger (talk) 10:06, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Mən başa düşürəm :). Sadəcə dediyim kimi bu onu Azərbaycandan və azərbaycanlı olaraq ən məşhur yüngül atletçimiz olmaqda çıxarmır. Tariximizdə ən məşhur atletçimizdir :). Şəkil də çox uğurlu alınmışdı. Niyə qoymadın axı? :P. Çox xoşlayıram o şəkli.. Bilmirəm niyə bəyənmirsən. --Proger (talk) 22:15, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Hə, bu da var. Düzdür. Neynək.. Heyif.. :) Nə satmaq? :) Başqa ölkənin vətəndaşı olmaq satqın olmaq anlamına gəlmir. O qədər xarici ölkə vətəndaşı tanıyıram ki, AR vətəndaşından ən azı yüz qat daha vətənpərvərdir. --Proger (talk) 23:30, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Art of Azerbaijani ashiqs

Hello! Your submission of Art of Azerbaijani ashiqs at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Sorry that this is a belated notification -- I just now realized that you had not been notified earlier. --Orlady (talk) 16:28, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Please revisit your nomination's entry to clear up the remaining concern about "ashiq" and "ashig". Thanks, Cunard (talk) 10:40, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but the article got rejected at DYK, as the lead is a copyvio of the UNESCO source. Here's a diff of my review; it got pulled off the page soon after that. Given that you have put all the effort into expanding it, are you happy to address the issue? I note that the copyvio started with the very first edit, i.e. you have nothing to do with it. You can reply here; I've watchlisted your talk page. If you are not interested in fixing this, that's fine by me, but just let me know so that I can tag the article accordingly. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:49, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Twinkle

Hi NovaSkola,

Sorry I didn't get back to you in a timely manner. About your post on my talk page about Twinkle, have you figured that out yet? WT:TW would be the place to go. Best, Airplaneman 14:10, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I see, you have been blacklisted. Yes, I'd inquire at the Twinkle talk page or ask the person who blacklisted you. Make sure you've addressed the issue that got you listed first. Airplaneman 14:13, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi, could you respond to the points I and others raised in August about use your of Twinkle to label edits you disagreed with as 'vandalism'? See [5][6] If you are willing to apologise for that prior use, you state that you have fully read the documentation, and you can show that you understand how your use of Twinkle was incorrect, I will restore it. Fences&Windows 18:38, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
You're off the blacklist. There might be a delay in gaining access again depending on server caching. Fences&Windows 18:50, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Lezgistan

Just to let you know that I have declined your nomination for speedy deletion of Lezgistan under criterion CSD G3. As I note in my edit summary the article is certainly poorly-written, and may be politically inconvenient to some parties, but the term has a long-established currency, and can in no way be described as a hoax. т.п.

The article Qaya Quartet has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A7 -- no indicia of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Epeefleche (talk) 05:46, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Drive-by reverts

Failure to engage meaningfully in discussions and to make drive-by reverts, as you just did on the Vank article, are grounds for sanction. There has been a (now stale) discussion in place for over three weeks now and no objections were lodged in regards to my proposals. You did not even bother to add your voice there and your sudden appearance only works to upset such the balance and such actions are all too reminiscent of Neftchi's edits. I caution you to refrain from making like edits in future.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 03:39, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

FYI

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. -FASTILY>Fireworks!< 05:58, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as MTV Azerbaijan, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Azeri Armed Forces

Hi NovaSkola. If you make this kind of edit again, which is drawn from an independent third party source, and as far as my professional credentials can assess, represents an accurate view of the military balance in the region, without discussion, you will be blocked without further warning. Regards Buckshot06 (talk) 23:51, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Please read the actual reference, which is linked in the footnotes. Charles Blandy, a British military analyst employed at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, is making some professional judgements based on what he reads from the Russian-language press and other sources. The general contention is also backed up by the linked International Crisis Group report, and finally and most importantly, it makes sense to me personally. The general situation has parallels with the Rwanda Patriotic Front experience and Israel; the Armenians feel they are isolated and outgunned by the military forces of Turkey and Azerbaijan, so they have a very high motivation to improve the functioning of their armed forces. According to all the data I have read, Azerbaijan's position is different, and the factors which impede the effectiveness of many post-Soviet armed forces are impeding the effectiveness of the ground forces. To be honest, I'm not so sure about the Air and Air Defence Forces; there is less data.
However I would invite you to continue to carry on this discussion on the talk page; this is a key issue for the article. Buckshot06 (talk) 10:23, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
In accordance with the above warning, following your recent edits to the article, in which you tried to use the IISS Military Balance 2011 to hide the fact that your source was a Azeri online newspaper account, I have blocked you for two weeks. I would advise strongly that you avoid editing these kind of articles in the future. Buckshot06 (talk) 00:07, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi NovaSkola. You may already be aware of User talk:Buckshot06#NovaSkola, but suffice to say that I have unblocked you in accordance with others' counsel. Be aware however that I have been advised that I should have actually initiated arbitration enforcement against you in accordance with WP:ARBAA2#Amended_Remedies_and_Enforcement. Please, as I have asked in my e-mails, read the actual CSRC report, take a look at the ICG report as well, and then feel free to come back to me. Buckshot06 (talk) 19:28, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello

This is to let you know that your report to AIV has been refused. This is because the IP has only ever edited once before, and hasn't received any warnings. Therefore has not received the 4 warnings we would normally require before even considering a block. If we blocked someone who has no warnings after 1 edit we would be assuming bad faith. Any questions please ask me on my talk page.--5 albert square (talk) 23:46, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

Use of cite web

Thank you for using {{cite web}} to reference content in Eurovision Song Contest 2012, since this makes things easier for everyone. However, there are some issues with the references that are being added such as this one. I went through the article yesterday and corrected some issues and have now just fixed the reference you have added. To save time in the future, please note the following points:

  • work= parameter is for the name of the website, e.g. 1news.az.
  • accessdate= is for the date you (the editor) accessed the article. Note that this is different from the day the article is published, which uses date=, and both should be specified where possible.
  • language= parameter should be used for any source which is not in English.

If you need further help, please see the documentation at Template:Cite web. Thanks and happy editing. CT Cooper · talk 14:25, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
