Mughal Khel[edit]

Dear Sir/Madam,

I respectfully request your assistance in reviewing my draft article, Draft:Mughal Khel. As a sub-tribe of the Yousafzai, the Mughal Khels are unique in that they are the only Yousafzai tribe residing in Southern Pakhtunkhwa, where they speak a soft version of Pashto. They are based in Bannu and their history and cultural practices have been documented in various online sources and books.

It is my hope that by writing this article, I can contribute to the knowledge base about the Yousafzai tribe and highlight their rich tradition of migration and cultural diversity. I would greatly appreciate your guidance and support in ensuring that the information is accurate and suitable for submission on Wikipedia.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely, 18:03, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Isparki — Preceding unsigned comment added by Isparki (talkcontribs) Noorullah21 (talk) 02:05, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@isparki Hello! Thank you for reaching out to me, I see that you require assistance in reviewing your draft article!
I would like to help, but I am not really experienced in "reviewing draft articles". Sorry about that and for the rather late response. I hope you can find some better help from others! It is very thoughtful that you work on this project and I hope your progress continues well! Noorullah21 (talk) 02:08, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Kasur (1763)[edit]

Hey there! You recently edited my article Battle of Kasur (1763). You deleted everything in my article, stating that it is not made with reliable sources. I used Hari Ram Gupta's book History of the Sikhs which is used in almost every Sikh battle. I also got most of my information from panth prakash, the main book of Sikh History. It's a really big reliable source and my work shouldn't have being deleted. (no hate) Ronnie Macroni (talk) 23:40, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ronnie Macroni The sources you used were not focused on Hari Ram Gupta, and in panth prakash's book, he made claim that over 1 million Afghans were present at the battle, which is clearly showing that it is an unreliable source. I have revamped the page focused with sources on Hari Ram Gupta's book. Noorullah (talk) 00:13, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Panth Prakash was written by a Nihang sikh warrior which makes it reliable Ronnie Macroni (talk) 00:33, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't make it reliable, yet again, the Afghans themselves couldn't raise beyond 200,000. Let alone a million. According to Christine Noelle in her books, the Durranis only had a population of 14 million, and Afghanistan itself was 4 million alone both as of 1800.
These statistics provided from Panth Prakash are unreliable. Panth Prakash also affirms that "twelve lakh" which is 1.2 million is present at the battle on page 557. Noorullah (talk) 00:38, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of the Ravi Ford moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Battle of the Ravi Ford, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 10:40, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Noorullah,I checked the dost mohammad khan page and noticed that most of the contributions you made got reverted due to plagarism/copyright.I created a sandbox that contains most of the contributions that you made. You can use this sandbox to improve on the information and to maybe rework on the page to make it copyright and plagiarism free. Please note that i got all of this from the wayback machine,so it dosen't contain everythingA few things i recommend is to remove or shorten certain sections as the article itself is quite long, or to create seperate wikipedia pages for some of the topics discussed. Also try your best to write in your own words.Good luck!

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently been editing India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, which has been designated a contentious topic. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. I'm sorry but I cannot help you, @Kansas Bear has shown me that a clear consensus was made at Talk:Sayyid_dynasty#"RfC_on_Afghan_inclusion", and thus the idea of an Afghan origin is not supported by Modern Scholars, as is with the Ghurid Empire for example. If you wish to try and change the origins, you need to hold a consensus like the one linked. Noorullah (talk) 04:00, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ecrusized Again, read above. It has also not been over 3 reverts. Noorullah (talk) 09:41, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Diffs: [3], [4], [5] Ecrusized (talk) 09:46, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ecrusized Two of those are reverts, not making it over three. And yet again, read the above. " I was posting what was a more accurate map compared to the other one, you said SVG files were preferred over PNG files, so I replaced it." Noorullah (talk) 09:47, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
3RR means you can't make three, it doesn't mean over three. I suggest you read the page before getting a block. Ecrusized (talk) 09:52, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You also said "Russians claim to be in control of regions", but did not specify further beyond that. While what is known is that the Wagner Group is actively along the M-4 Railway, and has occupied Rostov, Voronezh, and Bugayevka. Noorullah (talk) 09:49, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I meant Wagner. https://twitter.com/CNN/status/1672526876403695618 Ecrusized (talk) 09:52, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ecrusized Yes, I haven't said against that. I showed on the map that Voronezh and Rostov were both occupied, and another source also says that they were driving to the capital via the M-4 Railway. Another source on twitter also says them with Bugayevka, linking here. [6] [7] Noorullah (talk) 09:54, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
However beyond that, nothing shows that they own further into the countryside beyond what is mentioned. I also plan to map the 2023 Belgorod Oblast attack on my map. Noorullah (talk) 09:56, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See this as well [8] [9] Noorullah (talk) 09:58, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ecrusized Do you see what I mean? Noorullah (talk) 10:06, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, I prefer the current version, as does every other user editing the file and the page. Please stop POV pushing. Ecrusized (talk) 10:17, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry but you are engaging in WP:ICANTHEARYOU, you are ignoring what is shown in those sources and then potraying a deliberately exaggerated map that does not source it claims in Luhansk, or especially much of the countryside compared to what is shown here. What you prefer does not matter and you claiming to speak on the behalf of every other user does not accomodate. @Ecrusized Noorullah (talk) 10:20, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Risaldar Fateh Khan Khattak.[edit]

Make an article about Risaldar Fateh Khan Khattak. who work for the British. A legendary figure from the Guides history who distinguished himself at Mooltan. On receiving news of a raid on General Whish's camels, Risaldar Khan took the 70 men available to him to attack what he thought was a 20 strong party. They turned out to be 1200sikh, but undaunted, he galloped into the middle of them with his men, taking the enemy completely by surprise. Having come through that successfully, he turned them round and went in again, causing the whole lot of them to flee back to Mooltan. References.

Ottoman–Hotaki War (1726–1727)[edit]

I found mention of a Battle of Isfahan on 8 November 1726. Ashraf Shah defeats the Ottomans.

"A Global Chronology of Conflict", Spencer C. Tucker, volume two:1500-1774, page 727.

Could that be the battle in the Ottoman-Hotaki War article? --Kansas Bear (talk) 21:54, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Kansas Bear I believe that could be it, you can source it. If it mentions its November it could also be it, but when I myself researched it I believe these are two (?) different battles. I haven't really checked into Hotak history but I can check later and try to add some citations. @Kansas Bear Noorullah (talk) 23:44, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see what I did that led to my block. I was edit warring the page and as a result was being disruptive to the content and material on the page. I read into how I can approach the situation(s) differently especially in a content dispute rather then edit warring. I intend to have a dispute resolution for the specific case on the Khanate of Kalat page, where the edit warring and content dispute arose from. With this, I hope the content of the article can be improved, and the dispute settled. I will not repeat the mistakes and use what I learned as a result of the block to expand Wikipedia. I am asking for your trust and another chance towards such. Thank you to whoever reads and considers this block appeal. Pinging the administrator who blocked me specifically. @Aoidh: Noorullah (talk) 12:25, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - Since both of you have placed reasonable unblock requests on your talk pages I will be glad to unblock you so that discussion can continue if you can commit to not making any reverts of any kind for at least 24 hours (so that nobody goes even further into 3RR) and make an effort not to go back and forth edit warring until you reach a consensus one way or another on the article's talk page (you can use dispute resolution such as WP:3O if needed). It's also okay if you don't want to agree to that, another administrator can review the unblock request instead, whichever you'd prefer. Would you agree to that? - Aoidh (talk) 12:58, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoidh I agree to this yes, I am just wondering you said not any reverts of any kind. I am assuming this just involves this content dispute and not other articles for the 24 hour period? I'm asking because this page on my watchlist was vandalized: Siege of Hazarajat. Noorullah (talk) 13:11, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to hear it, I've unblocked you accordingly. As far as the reverting I specifically meant just the Khanate of Kalat article, and also please note that reverting (obvious and unambiguous) vandalism is exempt from the edit-warring policy. - Aoidh (talk) 13:15, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted[edit]

Hi Noorullah21, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 00:55, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Shortened footnote error[edit]

In this edit to Sher Shah Suri you added a citation to "{{sfn|Chandra|2009|p=30-31}}". The article contains fully defined references for books he published in 2005 and 2007, but no target is defined for a book written in 2009. Please correct the shortened footnote or supply a corresponding complete citation. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:06, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Worldbruce Gotchya, thanks, will fix it. Noorullah (talk) 01:21, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Rahon[edit]

Could you please take a look at Battle of Rahon, it is being disrupted by HaughtonBrit's IPs/proxies (he was also disrupting the page Battle of Jalalabad (1710). The battle led to eventual Mughal possession of the fort and repulsion of the Sikh attack, hence being a Mughal victory. It is being reverted on the basis that the Sikhs temporarily, for a few days, held control of the fort by defeating a minimal Mughal garrison after the Sikhs tactically retreated from the siege. HaughtonBrit says that Mughal recovery constitutes a "different battle", without applying that same logic to the Sikh recovery, as both were achieved under similar circumstances (defeats of belligerent garrisons after the initial siege had concluded). Please take a look. Southasianhistorian8 (talk) 00:02, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Revert on Rajput resistance to muslim conquests[edit]

This is regarding the revert on my edit on the page Rajput resistance to muslim conquests

I went through the soruce and it states that "Prithviraj himself, who had changed his elephant for a horse was swept away by the tide of fugitives, captured on the bank of sarasvati and put to death in cold blood, to appease Shihabuddin's wrath"

Firstly sarasvati river is a mythological river and even still no text mentions that prithviraj ran away from the battlefield, so I am reverting your edit.

Thank You Gspgoat (talk) 09:06, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

See [1], it mentions that he was captured after fleeing from the battle-field and then put to death. The only source per that source that seems to assert he died on the battle-field was the Virudha-vidhi vidhvansa. Noorullah (talk) 15:07, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't this;

  • "Wazīr Akbar Khān (Pashto/Dari: وزير اکبر خان ; 1816-1847), born Mohammad Akbar Khān (محمد اکبر خان) and also known as Amīr Akbar Khān (امير اکبر خان), was an Afghan prince..."

say "Barakzai prince" to avoid MOS:Ethnicity?--Kansas Bear (talk) 19:58, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Kansas Bear Yup, I'll make the change. Noorullah (talk) 22:39, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Ramkani[edit]

!السلام علیکم

Creater of wikipedia page "Battle of Ramkani" Ronnie Macroni consider's this battle as victory for sikhs. As he texted on original wikipedia page, where you can see. I have attached the link of original page [12] this messege.

You edited page and change the result. You wrote that the battle was inconclusive.

So I have three questions.

1.

In which history book did you read that the battle of Ramkani was inconclusive?

2.

While historian Hari Ram Gupta clearly mantioned that Afghan army retreated from battlefield. And could not capture peshawer city. Was not it a defeat for Afghan army?

3.

Sikh army was fighting for defend peshawer city from Afghans. And successfuly defended.

Was not it a victory for Sikh army?

Your GA nomination of Sher Shah Suri[edit]

The article Sher Shah Suri you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Sher Shah Suri for comments about the article, and Talk:Sher Shah Suri/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On this day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Napoleon and Nadar Shah[edit]

Hello there

I reverted your edit because we are trying to save space in this article which is already too long. Napoloen might have read about Nadar Shah when he was a boy but he also read about Caesar, Alexander and Charlemagne, Ghengis Kan and many other conquerers. There is no reason to give undue emphasis to Nadar Shah. We need to provide information based on the consensus of reliable secondary sources. There is a vast literature on Napoleon and Nadar Shah is hardly mentioned as one of his childhood heroes. If you would like this information added, please start a conversation on the Talk Page and seek consensus.
