chican/mexican american

The reason I changed the article was that I for one have not heard of the term "chican" Perhaps this is because I am not American, and it is a term more commonly used in the US?

I am in two minds..perhaps chican is a better or more specific term, but also wikipedia should be international and reflect all uses of the English language.

If you feel strongly about it, feel free to change it back - it is not a big deal as far as I'm concerned and if people don't know the meaning of chican they can click on the link.

Which do you think is best?

Also on a highly irrelevant note, were you aware that Chican is Japanese for someone who grabs girls asses on trains? not that it has anything to do with this article though. Sennen goroshi (talk) 14:39, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
