Fitzgibbon map[edit]

That's a great addition to an article. Are there more maps like that available for other suburbs/localities? Because your upload mentioned two sources, am I right in thinking that you do some overlay process to create the map? Kerry (talk) 01:10, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was at the time working with Geospatial datasets and took some interest in my own suburb since we are not from Brisbane originally. I have a computer graphics background and tend to be interested in visualisation and rendering. There does seem to be a place for this sort of imagery for the Brisbane suburbs, I'm now more familiar with areas within cycling distance, but I'm still making new discoveries. I don't recall the specifics of this particular map, but I do have an idea about how to produce an updated and possibly improved one, if there is interest. Bringing geospatial data to a broader audience, yes that sounds like it could be a thing. Nigels (talk) 12:51, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
