Punctuation[edit]
I have undone some of your edits. We follow British practice here and only place the punctuation inside the quotes for full sentences. Please stop changing things and please undo anywhere you have done it. You're creating more work for other editors who have to fix what you've done. See the WP:MOS. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 15:24, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- I apologize for creating extra work; it was not intentional. I actually read through that MOS page before when I wasn't sure about punctuation. Under MOS:ENGVAR, it says, "National varieties of English (for example, American English or British English) differ [...] The English Wikipedia prefers no national variety over others." And in MOS:ARTCON, it states, "Within a given article, the conventions of one particular variety of English should be followed consistently." I was not aware of other standards.
- May I ask what is meant when you say "we follow British practice here"? Neugeou (talk) 16:55, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
