Ryan's Peer Review Varnellr16 (talk) 21:26, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[edit]

Hey Natalie! I think you have a great start to your Wikipedia article. Some good information that definitely could use more attention on Wikipedia. The area where you talked about creating a better flow by combining sections: I think is a good call. It gives me a better idea of things to look for within my own article. If I had to recommend one thing, it would with the wording in the section: "Frequent testing of blood sugar levels is recommended for best control." I do not know whether it would be necessarily bad in this sentence, but I can't really think of anything else. Maybe you could say, "recommended to maintain control." Anyway, this article looks promising. Looking forward to reading more about it! -- Varnellr16 (talk) 21:26, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion User:Varnellr16, I think you are right. It sounds less opinionated/biased. --Natalie Bond (talk) 17:18, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Hi Natalie! I saw that you submitted your article for DYK consideration. Unfortunately I don't see where the article was expanded enough to meet DYK criteria, as existing articles need to have been expanded to five times its original length before it should be nominated for DYK. This means that the nomination will fail, sorry. :( Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:54, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

talk Thanks for letting me know. I have worked on the article some more and added a few more sentences here and there. I have mainly been "cleaning up" and re wording some sentences and adding sources. Should I re-submit my article again? Thanks! --Natalie Bond (talk) 17:08, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi - unfortunately it's still not long enough. The article would still need to be expanded to be a little over 4 times the size it is now. However rather than focusing on DYK, it's better to look at what still needs to be added, what can be expanded, and generally what the article needs to be complete. Successfully submitting a DYK hook is fun, but I wouldn't focus on it too much. :) Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:57, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
